Running backs are poor value early in the draft - even more so when you factor in the contracts RB get.
DeVonta Freeman is the top paid RB at 8,250,000 / year (not including Bell and his tag)
Our own Olivier Vernon makes $17,000,000
Having a bookend rusher like Chubb at pick #4, on a rookie contract for 5 years, to pair with Myles Garrett is just better value.

suppose he's drafted at two, that would mean the 2018 Giants are paying 17m, 17m, and and 6m to three DEs. Kind of a tough sell.
Rookie slot value for the #2 pick is 5.6m
