Giants interested in Temple receiver

Lowell : 3/20/2018 10:44 am
See the last line

"Receiver Keith Kirkwood also impressed scouts and coaches on hand. The big-bodied wideout measured a shade under 6-foot-3 and tipped the scale at 221 pounds. His 40 times ranged from 4.46 to 4.48, a full tenth better than scouts expected. Kirkwood hit 35 inches in the vertical jump and 10-foot-5 in the broad jump. His upcoming schedule includes visits to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks. Kirkwood, who spent time with the Detroit Lions receivers coach after today’s workout, is also participating in the New York Giants' local pro day.
Kirkwood - ( New Window )
This looks like another "possession" receiver.

The Giants have have a really bad track record with "possession" receivers.
I actually like Kirkwood a decent amount

He is pretty raw and played a lot of this season injured, but is a hard worker and a team leader. He has a lot of potential. He's probably a 6th/7th rounder type, but there's a distinct possibility we could get him as an UDFA.

Gettleman likes big receivers. Hopefully we'll find more of an Amani Toomer than a Reuben Randle
Why not, if late?

He is not the receiver this team needs. Sorry.

Right, but this is a different NYG management.

This is the type of receiver this team lacks and needs outside. Speed and size. Need a big frame receiver.

It's the same GM who traded a handful of picks for a pretty mediocre WR in carolina.

The giants hit with nicks as a possession receiver. They also hit with toomer so it’s not all bad. And in spite of his bad rep randle was not some bust-he was an ok player here.

Certainly t Lewis And Barden were not good as possession guys. But joe J even was pretty good one year and when he left. So was McCaffrey.
