I don't watch college ball. But I hear 2019 draft class is very weak for QBs, but how does the 2020 class look? Or is it too early to even tell? Once again I don't follow college ball.
He's taller than Mayfield by about half inch I think.
He will a pro QB prospect. Not sure if he'll be top of the class, but the kid can spin the ball. He also has some athleticism. Barring any type of injury, I could easily see him as a 1st round QB prospect when he comes out. I mean he led Alabama to an historic comeback in the championship game as a freshman. He did so against an elite college defense after coming into the game cold. Also, he will learning in a pro style offense.
Fromm barring injury looks like he'll be first pick. Obviously a lot can change, but the poise, composure and leadership skills along with the arm talent he showed in the CFP is unusual at his age.
I am thinking Fromm will get a lot of attention as a can't miss type of prospect as long as he doesn't regress to much from here on out. He has it all.
But who knows what will happen by then. No one saw Sam Darnold as a top guy when he was 1st at USC. Same for Mayfield and Allen.
The problem isn't just who is there, it's where the Giants will be. You are seeing the potentially huge price teams are paying to move up. In order to get a QB not only does it require many picks it requires a team willing to do the deal (meaning they have their QB already). So even if we move down this year for many picks, we likely will be giving them right back. Not to mention the several years it usually takes to compete with a new young QB.

Bingo. By trading down this year all the Giants are doing is robbing Peter to pay Paul, and that's only if there is a willing trade participant. Also, the qbs that come out may not even be as good as the one the Giants have a chance to draft this year. That's why a GM cannot look at anyone draft in a vacuum knowing this could be a position of need in the very near term. So, all picks acquired this year may be given right back to acquire a lesser talent.

good year as well. Alabama and Georgia have two young guns who are showcasing their talents in the SEC, which is always something to take notice to. Add to that guys like Stanford's KJ Costello, Washington's Jacobs Eason and Michigan's Shane Patterson are going to be interesting names possibly added to the mix, plus there are always other players who seem to come out of nowhere.
Should be pretty good.
ALso, does anyone have a feel for likely FA QB's Â
Its constantly changing.
Have no idea if Tua will be a QB prospect though.

Isn't Tua like 5 foot 8 or something like that?

Davis Webb is actually a franchise caliber QB
Eli Manning finds his Tom Brady.
Good board question though. I do think its ever changing. Talent is so subjective.

Should be pretty good.
