It's a picture of Barkley standing next to a coach. Is someone trying to suggest that he's our pick now? Is that unusual at a pro day?
He's chatting with the Giants rep. There is nothing to read into. A Giants rep was talking to a guy we are said to be interested in. Doesn't have to be some grand subtext.

Hey @Giants fans. That's new secondary coach Lou Anarumo talking up Saquon Barkley, whom your team should select No. 2 overall of you're not gonna trade down. "
He grew up a Rutgers fan :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
o man and he didnt go there!?!
He was an early commit to Rutgers but decommitted (correctly) after shit started going sideways with the program. I think it was on the heels of the Mike Rice thing with the basketball team and a bunch of football players started getting suspended/arrested while the talent bottomed out under Coach Flood. The program just went to shit at the wrong time. Wisconsin's stud RB that may be a future first rounder, Jonathon Taylor, is another Rutgers decommit.
it would make sense that we are doing a ton of research on him. We probably are weighing his impact along to multiple players we would get in a trade down scenario. Lot of work to do...got to get this right.

I agree. So much hinges on this draft. That's what happens after many years of Reese getting it wrong.
Jets.
His father is a very big Jets fan and even has a tattoo on his forearm, IIRC.

We'd be doing the father a favor by giving him a reason to switch teams.

He was actually a Rutgers commit for a while before he blew up as a recruit late Junior/Senior year of HS.
