They can still get a heck of a RB in Sony Michel in the 2nd round.
He is about 85-90% of what Barkley is , and reminds me a lot of David Wilson.
In fact I think he may be slightly better than Wilson.
Michel combined with Gallman will be a good duo , and make us forget about Barkley.
I also believe Rosen , combined with Michel , is a stronger unit , then just Barkley alone.
I provided a link of one of his games , take a look.

Yeah I definitely believe Sony Michel combined with Rosen is 10 times stronger of a duo , then just Barkely alone.
This is what I would do if I was the GM. I would be maximizing the value of my draft...
I know for me even with a shitty O Line the last thing I ever think about when watching a game is Eli getting hurt, but I know I'd be holding my breath every time Rosen drops back to pass even with a better O Line.
Perkins was handed the starting role and rushed for 2.2 ypc compared to 4.3 for Gallman and 4.4 for Darkwa.
I don't like to write guys off, but that's an incredibly poor showing by Perkins.
(Note: Eli also rushed for 2.2 ypc.)

Comparing college stats can be misleading.
Looking at this, you'd think Sony Michel and Saquon Barkley were similar prospects, which is not even close to true.
As Pat Kirwin said today on Sirius rbs shelf life are 5-7 years QB’s 10-15 he and Jim Miller think Giants should take A QB
If Giants take Barkley they better run him hard for 5 years
T- Kolton Miller, Jamarco Jones, Desmond Harrison, Orlando Brown.

I would agree, any of those would be a nice to help build the OL for the future.

I'd add Price to the mix of G/C.
YES TOTALLY
There looked very similar, except Perkins had a little more wiggle to him.....neither was head and shoulders above the other....
Hard to understand what happened to Perkins last season....was it Perkins? Did Mac giving him the job have an effect on him? Or was it the OL that sucked out Perkins' confidence?
That's a BIG if,IMO.
He hasn't shown he can stay on the field in college. What makes anyone think he'll be able to in the pros where the guys are for the most part, bigger, stronger and faster?
But if you add the Rnd 2 choice after Barkley and compare those duos you've got something. Would Barkley & Allen / Jackson / Rudolph (for example) be better? It also doesn't have to be QB - so what about Barkley & Hernandez? That's more useful being a more even comp

Hi Chaching , yeah I like Hernandez , I think he'll be a good player too.
So let me think about what your saying...
Really? Wilson was a 1st rd pick , who got injured. But if he stayed healthy , he was lethal on special teams , and a pretty dang good back.
Very fast straight line speed , with a good cut back. It was a shame he injured his neck. We coulda had something , imho...

but you can't compare Rosen & Michel / 2 picks to just Barkley / 1. The total pkg of 2 early picks is typically greater than one especially without a trade down where #2 becomes several picks (in that case it's more meaningful to comp uneven #s of picks)

No doubt...I'd think it's a tough exercise even for the scouts / coaches / GMs otherwise they'd always get it right
And I know 0 about the actual players so couldn't say. I'm just curious how Barkley and an OL, or even D-player like a solid CB, or a cover LB would look in comparison (obv you'd prefer an all-rounder, but just being realistic about later picks like w/ Michel in your OP)

Because heres the sad reality. Most fans don't know what the hell they are talking about. They are playing fantasy football scenarios where you "draft for need" and stupid things like that. They just view Rosen and see his Madden stats and don't even blink at concussion issues, health issues, desire issues. They just see oh he should have 90 throwing power and 95 accuracy so TAKE HIM!!
Fact is DG and the Giants brass are going to be waging their careers/reputation based on that pick. It is downright risky and malpractice to take a guy as risky as Rosen or allen at that #2 spot when there is a home run RB or a ransom trade offer available. It just is.
Not to mention we have Wayne Gallman who looked pretty good behind a shitty OL last year.
I think Michel is a real good RB but fumbles too much for my liking. I'm with you on the other RBs you mentioned, and I'd put Jones from USC in that mix as well.
