The FBI actually questioned one of my JHS math teachers during the hunt for the Unibomber. I don't know why he was on their radar but he DID look like the famous police sketches.

Might shed some light on why they checked out your teacher, but the famous sketch was wrong. It wasn't the original sketch. The famous sketch everybody knows was done years after with the original witness. The witness' memory had combined the Unabomber's face with the original sketch artist's face.
Wonder if this Austin Bomber had watched the series.

He was staying in a hotel and blew himself up a few blocks down from my work on 35 in Round Rock, just north of Austin. Co-workers husband is one of the officers working it. Guess the mailed packages took about a week to be delivered so there could still be more bombs out there.

I had been talking about that movie with someone last month after the school shooting and how these young kids are committing horrendous acts.
One thing I was asking is if Heath Ledger's version of The Joker was so terrific (within the context of cinema) that the character can be influential? Obviously the kid Holmes in the Aurora, CO shooting basically tried to be him. There are obviously a million other things that must factor in but you take a character like that from a hugely popular movie, plus other violent games/shows/movies and you get the sense these lost kids think that there is something to be gained from hurting people.

Kazinsky's cabin was 70 miles from where i lived In Montana Â
He lived in Lincoln which is a huge Hunting and snowmobiling area in between Great Falls and Missoula. There's a sawmill right by where he lived that had access to some trailheads. I seriously must have gone by his place over 40 times before he got caught. The guy who owned the Saw Mill was actually one of the first to report Kasinsky to the local police for stealing parts from old cars and farm equipment he had on his property. The Police talked to him but that was all they did if they had actually searched his cabin he would have been caught years earlier. I can still picture right where that cabin was.

My personal take. Cookoo is that the 'nest' (luny bin) is America, docs represent the state, protagonist is the ones who trust the state too much, are too comfortable in it, Fill in the rest yourself. Fairly obvious by type.
But for 20,000 crazy people_ or 20,000 whom you guys would consider crazy, you probably only get 1 violent one of this sort...so what differentiates that?
how quickly they dispatched him almost like they knew he was active. FBI has been incompetent lately at the expense of quite a few human lives. Couple that we a well known leaker predicting his actions (bombs) or predicting his demise (BOOM, BOOM, BOOM).
Expected outcome certainly. But it would be nice to catch these cowards.
