If Giants feel that there is only 1 Franchise QB
should they trade up with Cleveland for their #1
How much would it cost?
When it comes to QB's, unless you are lucky and get a
Brady or Wilson with lower draft selections, it's going
to cost you either high or multiple draft choices or money.
Stop what?
Maybe Brown Hornet you should read at the top of the
forum, the Bills are looking to trade up to #1.
That came in after I posted my thread.
Don't pat yourself on the back for being conventional. :)
What are you basing your statement on?

appear the Giants don't think of any of the quarterbacks are at that level.
What are you basing your statement on?
The Schwartz article from NY Post. Giant Management
sits down with him and explains all of it's plans.
Then the readers of the article repeat Schwartz
'inside info'.
What you are saying is generally true. But, when you don't
have your QB for the next decade, you have to get QB~
So either Barkley, Nelson or Chubb will be NY Giant.
Why would DG reveal his intentions to the world? To me, at least, doing so makes zero sense.
The track record of these 4 is collectively pretty abysmal. The Giants don't have the world's most plugged in beat reporters but usually Raanan and Ralph V are the most accurate of the bunch. Papa being a mouthpiece for the team typically tells me that if that was true, it's not what they'd want leaked a month before the draft. Afterwards, sure but you lose leverage in a trade down indicating to others that you don't believe in any of the QB prospects.
After the Floyd/Conklin fiasco they seem to have closed up a lot of the leaks. Last year the consensus was that they wanted Howard or McCaffrey but would likely pick Davis or Bolles. We can't know for certain since both players went before the Giants picked but Hitdog mentioned Engram and Peppers being targets before either guy was picked which leads me to believe that they learned their lesson -- finally.
If you remember last year the narrative was that the Giants wouldn't consider Njoku or Engram because "they don't fit what the Giants look for in tight ends". While on a much grander scale this reminds me of that. Drawing conclusions based on what the "Giant way" is or isn't.
Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama
DRC has to be replaced and the Eli Apple bet now needs serious hedging.
@2 is high, I think too high, but it would help solidify the back end for some years.
If true Giants aren't going quarterback, hope they re the smart ones.
