[quote]The proposed rules defining a catch are:
1. Control of the ball.
2. Two feet down or another body part.
3. A football move such as:
» A third step;
» Reaching/extending for the line-to-gain;
» Or the ability to perform such an act.
The key change in the proposal would eliminate the frustrating going-to-the-ground element of the rule that caused catches to be overturned, like Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant's against Green Bay in the 2014 playoffs, or Steelers tight end Jesse James' reversed TD against the Patriots this past season.[\quote]

So, as long as you don't fly or hover, it's a catch.
2. Two feet down or another body part.
and that's it, I'll never understand.
You just created another gray area.
You just created another gray area.
yeah ... what does that even mean?

Yeah, what does that mean.

I believe it covers catches in the end zone, when there is no reason to actually make another move.
The NFL is just allergic to simplifying things.

Ugh, I had to rewatch that. One of the worst calls in all of football. They really make this game difficult to enjoy.
etc
Would Randle's TD where he was immediately hit in the endzone, and the ball came out and was intercepted, be a TD?
Part 3c is too open to interpretation.....
One thing they have not addressed, is how much time has to transpire, before a catch is a catch...
