NFT: Cancer Sucks!

SuperRonJohnson : 3/21/2018 9:02 pm
I had 2 of my football coach friends pass away yesterday from cancer. Jody was in his early 40's. He battled throat cancer for close to 3 years. He didn't smoke or drink. He left behind a wife and 4 young kids. One of the best coaches I ever worked with. Even when he lost his voice, he was still coaching. Inspired a lot of people.
Bryan was county sheriff as well as a coach. He was diagnosed this fall with colon cancer. Only in his mid 40's.
So sorry and god

Too many good people have been cut short by cancer. Seen quite a few and it's always been agonizing. Sorry two of your friends are added to that list...

am very sorry for the deaths of your friends. They died much too young. I don't know any family that hasn't been affected by some form of cancer. RIP. God bless.

there are many promising advances being made with immunotherapies but in the meantime, too many lives continue to be lost due to this terrible disease. especially young people in their 40s.
Yes. Cancer sucks.

Sorry for your loss.

My ex wife and mother of my kids was just diagnosed with breast cancer. She’s a wonderful person and a great mom. Fuck cancer.
I'm about to return to Rochester for several months

I believe we live in the same city (Port Saint Lucie), but have never met. Sadly last December I was diagnosed with Cancer (Tumor in my kidney) on a Monday and my best friend, my dog was diagnosed with cancer two days later on a Wednesday. It's been a difficult time, but I got so lucky in that my tumor was removed and I retained 95% of my kidney with no chemo or radiation as this was caught so early. Unfortunately, my dog has a tumor in her bladder and there isn't anything that can be done. Her quality of life continues to be GREAT, but I realize time is running out :(
This was an amazing gut check within the same week and I agree with everyone hear that Cancer is horrible, even when caught in it's early stage!!
Again, sorry for your loss!
very sorry to hear

my brother in law found out a month ago
I Love Clams Casino : 3/22/2018 8:31 am : link
he has stage 4 cancer in his liver....they gave him 3 months. 56 years old....it originated somewhere else, not sure where.

devastated....4 kids...mid 20s to low 30's.....never drank...never smoked...very clean living...very fit guy, big frame and always in shape...he's the last guy you would think that would get this.

The kicker....no health insurance....is family did a "Go Fund Me" which they are using for alternative treatments. He's opted out chemo. He's on an all raw food vegan diet, drinks breast milk from donors.....take cannabis oil, direct vitamin C treatments, and Ozone O3 therapy.
Best wishes for your friend Bryan

Hopefully they caught it early. Colon cancer is treatable. With any luck your friend Bryan can recover and live a long life. My grandfather fully recovered from colon cancer in 1990. So did Ronald Reagan.
You will get no argument from me

They're learning more and more every day. But until they get there - It really does suck.
Damn. Sorry Ron.
Beezer : 3/23/2018 10:09 am : link

Pisses me off even more hearing my wife's uncle talk about his "neural network" research and how some groundbreaking early-cancer-detection stuff is actually available and presented non-stop across the globe, but when it gets to the actually nuts and bolts, gets shot down by Big Pharm.

I'm no conspiracy theorist, and sorry of this is a bit of a hijacking, but holy CHRIST, I have such a horrible hatred for pharm companies and what they've become. They're not about helping people ... not in the slightest.
