who would you guys target at 12/22/34. Assume the top 4 QB's, Barkley, Nelson, Chubb, Denzel Ward, Fitzpatrick, and Edmunds are off the board at 12.
Marcus Davenport IMO deserves consideration as he could end up being the best pass rusher in this draft. Roquan Smith is another option but he could be gone. Same with Derwin James.
At 22, I'd look at the OT's McGlinchey and Williams, and CB Jaire Alexander or Josh Jackson. I also like Harold Landry, Rashaan Evans, and Justin Reid, the Safety from Stanford who I think is going to go in the 25-30 range but could continue to rise.
At 34, there is plenty of RB's who will be available, and potentially a strong interior OL option like a Billy Price, or Will Hernandez.
I'm not really in favor of trading down this far, but Davenport or Roquan is definitely intriguing.
Same.. that would be my pick.
At 22 I would be going for a guard or a CB
I like the thread.
I think he's better. More athletic and not as raw as JPP was coming out.
22. Jaire Alexander/Justin Reid
34. Ronald Jones/Guice
53. Braden Smith
56. O'Neil/Okorofor/Rankin
and a 1st rounder next year.
IMO you can't even compare Barkley to that haul. It's a no brainer to me and I LOVE Barkley as a prospect. Like he might be my favorite prospect of the last 10 years other than Myles Garrett, Andrew Luck and Clowney.
The only way the Giants stay at 2 is if they are taking a QB.
There are good players in every draft. Just because you are picking higher doesnt always mean that your getting a better player...
I think the Giants can go both ways.. They can get a stud early on in the draft.. but they have holes to fill..
Or they can gt several very good players and fill several holes.. Dont forget any trade with Buffalo isnt just for the 12 and 22.. Its more than likely an extra #2 (probably #56) and the Giants would probably ask for Buffalo's #1 next year.. (they would probably have to send back a #5 next year to Buffalo to make the " math " work)
That means the Giants would get 2 #1's and 2 #2's..
They could easily address OL, Defensive Front Seven (LB or DL), RB and CB within the first two rounds.. as well as picking up an addition #1 the following year..
I dont see that as a bad thing...
Fitzpatrick is going to slip a bit. Apparently talent evaluators like Derwin James over him as a safety, and have Denzel Ward as the top rated DB overall.
22. Jaire Alexander/Justin Reid
34. Ronald Jones/Guice
53. Braden Smith
56. O'Neil/Okorofor/Rankin

I dont think Buffalo gives up that much.. they still need to build a team LOL.. but I would definitely ask for it !!
The Jets helped the Giants out by trading up to 3. They made the Giants pick more valuable due to the fact that the top QB's are going to be off the board with at least 2 of the top 3 picks. The Bills would love to jump in front of their AFC east rival and grab a franchise QB, but there is a price to pay for that.
So, you have to go McGlinchey at 12 if you want him.
I also think Josh Jackson will be off the board by then, but I see Jaire Alexander as a 2nd rounder.
For 12 I think Roquan Smith will be gone no later than the Raiders but he's a guy I'd like. I could also see Derwin James...and because I'm an FSU Homer and because I would love to see Derwin James play alongside Landon Collins, that would be my pick. Watch for Tampa to take James, though. If Smith and James we're off the board, I would take McGlinchey at 12 no problem. If that means kicking Flowers or McGlinchey inside to OG for a year or two so be it. McGlinchey will eventually be my LT.
At number 22 I love Isaiah Wynn. James Daniels might be the better fit though. Could also see Taven Bryan if still on the board, but he scares me and my Spidey senses are saying "bust" with him. Rasheem Green perhaps as an heir apparent to JPP.
At 34 I have to go RB here or at the Buffalo 2nd rounder I'm assuming we got in the deal. I like Rashaad Penny, and if it's a Buffalo pick at 53 or 56, I like his teammate Chubb. If I have Penny by 53, then I'm looking at a CB like Alexander or Carlton Davis.
22. Jaire Alexander/Justin Reid

53. Braden Smith
56. O'Neil/Okorofor/Rankin

Lol you’re crazy if you think the Bills are giving up that much to move up 10 spots
It's more like then we trade with Denver. That would be how I would want to run it. But absolutely there's no deal with either Denver or Buffalo without a 2019 first rounder in the deal. No 2019 first rounder? Non-starter.
But if you get 12, 21, 53, the Bills 3rd rounder, and a 2019 first rounder, then you are at least very close. And yes, you can do that deal because you can get 4 starters in the first 53 picks and still have 2 first rounders next year. You've created a new core of your team and you still have Landon Collins and OBJ, Shep, and Engram to add them too.

They would give up very close to that and possibly more to get Josh Allen.
21 - Reid
34 - Connor Williams
Try and grab Billy Price with the other 2nd round pick.

Dave Te' thinks Price is not one of the top few centers in this draft. I think he has him 4th best...after James Daniels, Austen Corbett, and Frank Ragnow. I love Frank Ragnow, by the way, and definitely would take him before Billy Price.
A fair trade would be our #2, worth 2600 points on the Trade Value Chart, for the Bills 5 draft picks at #12, #22, #53, #56, & #65 for a value of 2955, the #65 pick being thrown in for good measure to make it a bit lopsided so we can say we fleeced Gettleman's buddy in Buffalo.
We'd end up with 12, 22, 34, 53, 56, 65, & 66 instead of 2, 34, & 66. We'd be giving up a potentially awesome player at #2 though. Five more weeks to mull it over. DG will make the right move.

It's more likely they'll offer the first pick of the 3rd round than both 2nd rounder, but it's not that outlandish that the offer will be in that ball park.
There's a reason they've accrued the collateral. They're all in for a QB.
I still think they'll need an intermediate trade, probably to 6 to get the Giants interested, that'll probably end up more expensive than a straight trade down, but I could see the Giants still getting 6, 22, 53 and a 2019 1st or 2nd in that scenario (although they'd almost certainly have to give something back).
Personally I think the Giants are going QB.
