What if the Giants stay put in the first round by picking QB

or Barkley and pick a tackle in round 2 to compete for RT with Wheeler?

Does Flowers compete with Jerry as a starting LG with Omameh as RG? Flowers doesn’t need to switch sides, may be less flawed at Guard, and Omameh may be better as a RG than LG. Omameh has more starting experience at RG so he obviously can play both sides. Jerry appears to play equally meh on either side.

Couldn't get out on sweeps swiftly or smoothly.
RG seems to use his strengths best.
RT? Those Edge Rushers are there too! Would need help from EE or Ellison.
Just an opinion.

Seems LG might be a good spot to try him since he’s used to that side. But I don’t know enough about OL play to know if he’s suited to the nuances of LG.

I was following thru on Pugh’s comments and the general feeling Â

that Flowers can move to LG more easily than RT.

And I agree although Flowers did play RT as a freshman.

Also, there are a lot of players who have moved from tackle to opposite side guard so maybe RG would work out fine for him.

It seems that if the Giants don’t pick a plug-and-play guard in Round 1 or 2, Flowers is the most likely starting second guard - unless it’s Jerry.
