NFT: FBB: put these pitchers in order

superspynyg : 3/22/2018 8:52 am
So I have a draft tonight with the 8th (out of 12) pick. I am leaning toward going hitter/hitter round 1 and 2 and a SP in round 3. The top pitchers that have been there are the following:
Bumguardner
Carrasco
Stasburg
Verlander

I currently have them as
Strasburg
Bumgardner
Carrasco
Verlander

But I want to know what you think?

also which combo do you like best for round 1-2?
Harper
Freeman/Correa (pick one)

or
Goldschmidt
Correa
...

If you can get both Harper and Correa I would take them and run. As for the pitchers, I'd rank them:

Bumgarner
Strasburg
Verlander
Carrasco
I would go

Strasburg
Bumgarner
Carassco
Verlander

I feel the stock on Strasburg is pointing up and he had a great year last year. I’m also very high on Carassco, if he stays healthy for a full year, I think he’s a top 5 SP. Can’t go wrong with any of these guys though.

I would lean Harper, Correa. Harpers injury history worries me a bit but it is a contract year and when healthy he’s a top 2 fantasy player. Goldschmidt is more of a sure bet, I’ve had him on many teams and he’s as consistent as it gets and hits all the categories.
I would go

Gldschmidt and Correa - if it's not a keeper league (Goldschmidt > Harper)

pitchers:

Bumgarner
Strasburg
Carrasco

After re-reading your post though, I don’t think Harper will still be there by pick 8 so that will probably take that decision off your hands.
Goldschmidt.......Humidor

How will the humidor in Arizona this year affect Goldy?

He is an amazing talent, but can't believe there won't be some sort of drop in HR's.

What do you think?
I love Goldy
JoeMoney19 : 3/22/2018 9:56 am : link
but I have concerns about the impact of the humidor and the fact that he's getting to an age range that will likely reduce his stolen base totals. He's a great player but I just traded him to land Correa (with some other moving pieces) in my keeper league because of these concerns. I think Harper and Correa are both top 5 players this year if they stay healthy (which I know is a concern with Harper).

Curious for those in a keeper league - who would your top ten keepers be? Turner in particular seems to be valued pretty differently across the fantasy landscape. Mine would be:

Trout
Harper
Bryant
Correa
Altuve
Turner
Arenado
Lindor
Judge
Seager

I wanted to get Stanton and Betts on there but couldn't find room for them.
This will surprise

but I'd go

Carrasco
Bumgarner
Strasburg
Verlander

I think Carrasco is a dark horse for the CY Young this year. Maybe not a dark horse, but he has gotten better every year and has elite stuff. Bumgarner coming off the accident year. Verlander is tough to bank on. Carrasco is undervalued IMO.
FYI

Carrasco injured his foot yesterday. Not looking to be servious, but may impact your decision.
