do so many people think the Pro Day puts Darnold over the top? It's a Pro Day.
I agree about pro days but the Browns owner not only went to his pro day but also sat in the stands in the rain the entire time with Darnold's parents. Obviously that doesn't guarantee anything but I do think it means something.
if they're worried the Giants might take him, and they're still guaranteed a QB at #4. They could make the argument they were targeting Allen the entire time, that he has tremendous upside, blah, blah, blah.
They will take Allen at #1 (he will bust magnificently) and then come back at #4 and take a decent player who won't help them win games because they have a black hole at QB causing them to suck.

Let's not forget, they picked up a decent GM this off-season. IMO, we will be seeing a new Browns approach this year

I really want the browns to take Barkley. There’s a stupid selfish part of me that wants Barkley here even though I do believe things would be better long term if we have qb pick of the litter.
And risk losing their target between at #2 and/or #3, they are going to get absolutely skewered... Especially after having recently passed on Carson Wentz...
it looks far more likely the giants target chubb after a move back than take a QB and i assume cleveland is targeting darnold and barkley with thier picks at 1 and 4 the extra picks on the move back they look for wynn or hernandez to finish the OL rebuild and possibly add one of the other good RB like guice or michel in that senario

Well I hope Dorsey and the Browns look at this trade exactly like you do because I think it's Chubb at #4 they've been targeting all along and not Barkley. I see them wanting to team Chubb up with Garrett and set their DE position up for years while getting a RB if they want one sometime in the 2nd Rd.
Fearing the Giants taking Chubb might be exactly what it takes for them to offer picks to move up to #2, and allows DG to still get his guy at 4 ( assuming he doesn't want a QB ) and stockpile a couple of sweet picks.
They spent a lot of time and energy with Darnold yesterday for a team not taking him.
Because he looked good throwing with shorts and t-shirt. I have no idea how a pro-day has so much weight.

Agreed.. Pro Day's can only have a negative impact (injury or just flat out stinks).. Pro Day's are not going to vault a guy to the top.
