We don't win it all in 2011 without him. He was an absolute beast that year. Thanks for the memories JPP!

That alone is worth a special place in the Giants history . At times an awesome force . That’s what I will remember . Best of luck, Jason .
Good luck JPP,

wishing you nothing but the best throughout rest of your career, just not when you play against Big Blue.
The 2011 game in Dallas
Mr. Bungle : 3/22/2018 10:26 am : link
was one of the greatest individual defensive performances I've ever seen. JPP did everything in that game (including blocking a game-tying field goal as time expired. And if the Giants lost that game, no playoffs.

Thanks, JPP.

Your performance in 2011 season was something I will never forget. Absolutely dominant.

Canty, LJ, Tolleson, guys who could bring pressure. He never developed the technique needed to become that beast type DE on his own and make others around him better
Such a freak.
GiantFilthy : 3/22/2018 10:28 am : link
Reese nailed the pick. Even with some of the players beside him, our excellent defensive line isn't anywhere near as excellent without him crashing onto the scene early in his career.

Hope he has a great year when he isn't playing 90+% of the snaps on Tampa.
the JPP that was the JPP...

he was so dominant. I said to my TV, JPP you need to win this Dallas game and he did. It didn't turn into the fairy tale ending, but he was part of a Superbowl team. Good luck JPP!

you for all your contributions to the Giants JPP. Your 2011 game against Dallas was unreal. You manhandled opposing OL, and always gave 100%. It was incredible that you even got back on the field, let alone played at a high level, after your accident. You were a great Giant. Best wishes in Tampa.
Thank you

We all make mistakes. We all suffer setbacks, and rebound.

JPP's, attitude, and fight through his self-inflicted injury, will stay with me as much as his harassment of Brady in 2011.

Proud he was a Giant. He's a Florida boy. Glad we did not send him to Seattle or Green Bay.

See you in a few years JPP, when you join the "Ring of Honor"

JPP's tour de force. He dominated the Cowboys like LT would in a big game against Washington at RFK in the 1980s.

Six solo tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble, a safety and a blocked field goal on the game's final play.

That was one hell of a performance in a critical spot. There's no Super Bowl XLVI trophy for the Giants without JPP that night.

truly a great giant.. that Game in dallas in 2011 was one of the best defensive games ever by a single player.. The whole season was magical and you were a major part of that..

I am also sorry NY Giants fans doubted you.. I am sure you gave your all, this whole time.. No real fans should doubt a player of your caliber's effort.. thats just not fair..
Thank you for being a hungry Giant

JPP (along with Eli) was the best player on the field in what amounted to the Giants best regular season momment ever, in my view. When you add up the stakes, the comeback and the subsequent fallout week 14 2011 checks off every box. JPP was legendary that night.
Thanks JPP

good for 7th all time in team history only 2 behind Tuck in exactly 16 less games.

He and Osi had quietly excellent team careers.

On some level there was obviously unrealized potential but he had an amazing 2011 here and we stood zero chance of winning that SB without him. Just a physical marvel who probably should have had a better career here but I don’t regret that pick at all. Wish him success

Honestly, I thought at one time JPP was the next Reggie White. That was his ceiling. He was such a rare talent with his size, strength and quickness, and what he did when he was healthy and in those first few years, he was special, and he really doesn't get the accolades he deserves.

Even in other "down" years, he was one of the best run-stopping DEs in the NFL, and people really just complained about him not getting the sack numbers, but not recognizing how good he was playing in other areas.

But if he could've been more consistent and perhaps stayed a bit healthier, he could've been a Hall of Fame player, that's how good he was at times and how immense his gifts and athletic talent was.
