Cleveland. Let them trade up to 2 and we move to 4. We can get Chubb, Nelson or Fitzpatrick there or could even move back a spot or two for someone who wants Allen or Nelson.

Why wouldn't we want who's at #2 or Chubb, Nelson or Fitzpatrick?

NYG cannot miss this rare opportunity to secure a franchise QB. The Manning era is essentially over and its time to look forward, not be sentimental about prior success.
that is maybe the closest kept secret in the NFL by individual teams, the fact that a reporter thinks he knows our board is batcrap crazy. He doesn't and neither does anyone else outside of Jints Central.

Not entirely true, unfortunately.
People keep saying giants can't pass drafting franchise qb Â
I have not heard 1 person call any of these guys can't miss franchise qbs, not a single person...
There is no consensus number 1 qb that tells you something...
Even if someone called them "can't miss", why would that make you feel better? Any time the sports world calls a guy "can't miss" is the time I become concerned that it's a bust in the making. The last time we "had" to draft the can't miss guy was Robert Gallery.
RE: People keep saying giants can't pass drafting franchise qb Â
I’ve heard Albert Breer in 3 interviews on NFL Network since the beginning of the offseason. And he’s said that exact thing. Don’t be surprised if they take Chubb
...not a lot of noise over any positions other than QB. They are going to conduct a remote radio piece from Laramie, WY for Josh Allen’s Pro Day, though. Sounds extreme, but whatever...
I would expect the Denver faithful to ramp up their rhetoric to attempt a trade w our NYG to get one of the big 3 QBs after the JPP trade. And I have to admit that the NYG seem to be sliding away from taking a QB.
RE: I've said this before but are people really that naive to think Â
but it's hard to believe we wouldn't like ANY of the QBs enough to take at #2, should Barkley go #1. That's quite a gamble on our part, especially since Darnold would wind up playing in our building for the next 10-15 years in a Jets uniform.
I don't doubt the info at all, just find it a little surprising that a scenario may unfold where we have our pick of the QB litter and would opt to go elsewhere. That would be something.

why should the Giants care where Darnold plays, if they think the alternative pick makes the Giants a better team? The gamble is missing out on a good-great QB, not where he'll play. If they think D is a good-great prospect, they'll take him.
Is it possible your info is what the Giants want people to believe? If Gettleman doesn’t take a QB he better pray relentlessly that none of them are good.
When he says Giants are doing X, it means he thinks they should do X.
I highly doubt his 3 targets. Chubb is a 4-3 DE. Why would Giants take him at 2?
They just signed a guard and reworked Jerry’s contract, resigned Greco. And Flowers is also likely a guard. Yet they are taking Nelson?
Also, anyone who says they are trading down is full of crap. You have to have a trade partner to trade down. There is no way Dotino or anyone else knows whether there is a match. DG doesn’t even know. So how could anyone else. I’m sure he will listen to offers as Will Cleveland Denver and whoever. But you can’t justmagically trade down and acquire a boatload of picks. And if the QBs are overrated, why would other teams being looking to move up to get one?
I completely agree with the reasoning that if the QBs are all so overrated then why are teams falling over themselves to trade up and get them. All these teams that need a QB can’t be so wrong on the QBs. I don’t see why anyone wants to experience the pain that is having no QB

Have things set up in a way that nobody knows what they will do and that is exactly the way it should be, anyone that thinks they do know are just blowhards, ignore it. Gettleman is doing a great job, it is nice to watch a good GM at work.
trade down looking good if that info is solid and Barkley goes #1.
I was told the Browns are going Darnold, the Giants are going Rosen, and the Jets are going Mayfield. Frank was told the Giants are trading down with Buffalo for a boatload of picks. We're all told a lot of things. None of us know dick.

There's been a regime change, it is possible.

Except I was given a lot of on target info the past number of years.
Right now we have:
1,2,3,3, 4 and 5. If we can get another 2 and 3 or 2 and 4 that would be great, especially if we still get Chubb or Nelson.
Why wouldn't we want who's at #2 or Chubb, Nelson or Fitzpatrick?

Darnold is probably going number 1 and is on a lot of people’s number 1 list.

And perhaps DG/PS are also viewing Webb as a viable replacement for Eli at the right time.
If the Browns take Barkley at 1, It would appear that the price for our 2 has gone up, perhaps by a lot?
So, it's either good info or a wicked smokescreen, which I tend to doubt. And, I say that as one who's been preaching for Darnold since last Fall.
In general, info's been all over the place, for sure.
Definitely true.
