Giants press releases are not so flowery anymore

Guy. But I can see it wearing thin quickly if he doesn�t put a good product on the field. I like it so far as I�m sure most do. The team was a joke last year. But he will need to win to keep up the cut throat ways IMO.

but is there any chance the Giants identified JPP as one of the leakers last year? Perhaps that hastened his departure.

would be cut after this season, not before.

to give them a legitimate asset AND the contract relief. I love the guy, and I would've made the trade too.

rough? I don't see it. Sure, it's curt, but it wasn't like, 'Don't let the door hit you on the way out JPP.'

is that in the past, the Giants would have multiple quotes...I've noticed this offseason they have been pretty terse with their releases.

SB 46. That is underselling things. He had Pro Bowl and All-Pro seasons. There's a Lombardi trophy in East Rutherford that wouldn't be there without him. Eli, Cruz and JPP were the main drivers of that bus. When a guy leaves, if anything you should overstate his contributions. Be magnanimous. It's not a huge deal but I'm gonna bet that Mara will chime in at some point with a little more praise.

No question is play wasn�t were it should be. Some would argue that the lack of a 3rd viable de left him (and Vernon) on he field too much.

Problem for the bucs is they won�t have much behind him either.

Has this imbecile watched video of the Giants -Bucs last season. The game that saw JPP handled by tight ends. Unreal. Maybe Kimberly Jones provided inside info that he was hurt that game.

The only game where he stood out was against Wonderlic Watson -whatever his name was -and Denver when they changed tackles 3 times .

is all the recognition he needs. man, this eli benching last year has really sensitized people around here.

this is where his value should have been all along, but when teams compete for FA's they get 17mil instead of 12.

Likely just an initial press release to get it out there. This is easily the biggest "move" the Giants have made, as far as "popular personnel" this off-season.

Lots of people own JPP jerseys. Not the be-all, end-all ... but an indicator. Extremely popular player and a world champ.

In my book, Whatever good JPP did for the team was overshadowed by his BS attitude after the fireworks incident. Great move by DG to offload the contract and the player.

He gave a positive statement. When Eli leaves you will see all the flowers you want I am sure. This was a salary dump for a player under performing his contract. I liked JPP a lot but I am happy to see us parting ways with some players not living up to their contract. I am sure OV is paying attention to the off-season now. He may not be long for this team either.

the previous GM you had here was a total fuckup and screwed this franchise for a long time such as signing JPP to a very, very bad contract.

This offseason has demonstrated clearly what a lousy GM Reese was.

I'm wondering if it is because these players havn't played for the head coach or defensive coordinator. So you don't hear their sentimentality. Who else would usually be giving quotes? It does seem rather short for one of our stars.

But DG is getting rid of all the problem children from last year with the exception of Apple so far plus Reese never should have given JPP that contract .... that bonus money JPP got paid that�s for sure
