I remember watching this game in January of 2017 thinking to myself, man this Darnold kid is mighty impressive, but now that we're a playoff team once again there's no way that we could ever be in the draft mix for him. Little did I know what awaited us later in the year, and then stranger things did happen, so here we are. Oh, and that Barkley kid is pretty good too!

My observations
1. barkley is a DOMINANT animal at that level and not much reason to believe it wont translate. his vision and ability to cut back along with that speed is a thing of beauty.
2. mcsorley is a gamer but really telegraphed that INT at the end of the game, not sure why penn was SO aggressive.
3. darnold made 1-2 bad decisions there but made at least a dozen BEAUTIFUL throws. that one to tie the game under 2 minutes is as pressure packed as it gets and he threw a fucking gem. he is a beast.
4. darnolds footwork is second to none, his ability to move in the pocket is so good its scary. love how he works the pocket and has escapability when its gets dicey. his throws on the run to his right are aaron rodgers like for sure.
5. the giants pick was on that field. imo at 2 its darnold or barkley for me unless you get an INSANE offer to move down. I wouldnt drop any further than 4-7
Darnold
Barkley
one of those is our guy then we got a VERY good prospect
