on Golic and Wingo this morning - said that motivated him when he played against the Giants.
Also, shows that TC had a big say on personnel when he was here. Didn't think Clark was good enough and he's gone (to Pittsburgh). I wonder how many on here blamed Reese for that?
As JonC says, he could lay big hits but he could also get beat for big plays.
An average safety...nothing special.

He's the kind of player who would have been a great 3rd Safety in the Deon Grant role (let's bring that role back! Draft some safety's and let Collins roam!)
Clark cleaned up plenty of issues while with Pitt/Wash whether that was his own development or coaching.
When you’re that mediocre for that long with a HOF or near-HOF QB in his prime, there’s enough blame to go around between all of those in charge.
No kidding. When was he? Back at LSU...?
The better question is this - when was he ever a good analyst to warrant time on TV? He's unwatchable, says nothing remotely interesting.
One thing about Coughlin - he can evaluate talent. And he was spot on about Clark...
TC goes to Jacksonville and what does he do? He goes and gets norwell to bolster his offensive line. Think of the line he built in Jacksonville his first time around, but yeah TC is to blame.
Yeah, I think this is the salient point. He doesn't seem to be saying that TC was a poor judge of talent or that TC was even wrong about him. I think that he's not even disagreeing with TC about the comment. I think it was that Giant's experience that told him that he needed to become a better player...that he needed to *become* a good safety and that TC was the motivating force. Subsequent games were to prove that he indeed had become a good safety.
Moving on.
