I was watching highlights of Evan Engram and one of his plays was a TD catch against the Rams when we were down 48-10. I knew we lost that game badly but I had put out of my mind how one-sided it was.
The 61 yd FG and loss to the Eagles being the first one. The WR injuries vs SD were the next and then honestly it's a blur the rest of the way.
I'm not sure it's so much of blocking the rest out as not even caring to remember much after the SD loss.
For me the gut wrenching losses in seasons past are the ones I block out. Eg, the Flipper Anderson game, the SF playoff loss on the bad snap/FG after blowing the big lead.
Yep, there was a lot of drinking last season alright...
I watched all of the games but definitely don't remember chunks of some of them. I think it was just such an exhausting season that it was easier to just tune it out at time.
And we've all seen some bad Giants teams. But for me, never one so unlikable.
The first two touchdowns they scored, one against the Lions in the second game, and then one the following week against the Eagles, were both flagged for excessive celebration. A team having trouble finding the end zone just can't keep it in their pants when they do.
This has to be a common factor amongst true Giants fans... Â

First time ever, more than four decades of not missing a broadcast or being at the Giants game. Didn’t want to watch a snap. Could not. Would not. Did not. Might be overly dramatic, but it’s true for me, I’ll never be a Giants fan in quite the same way. I still love the Giants but I don’t think they’re some kind of special organization anymore.
or one that was on NBC so I went to a Bar and left by
halftime its been many years I din't care if I watched the
entire game I will never forget what McCrappy did to Eli
ever never ever ....
But yeah lets forget that nightmare and redeem ourselves
with a crazy run for the ages ....
Damn it. You had to go there.

You DON'T want to know. Trust me.

The team was so hard to watch in general.

I watched the same Engram highlights video you saw and didn't recall about 75% of the great catches, despite watching every game.
If the team doesn't concentrate or give effort, I respond in-kind.
Just a class group.
Last year was the 1st in 40, after the Geno mess, I blocked out even watching 2 games!
Time to rise again.
Besides, if ever there was a good time to lose 13 games, it was during the one season in which the NFL inexplicably decided not to have a Super Bowl.
