Thoughts on Bo Scarbough in the 3rd rd?

If we go QB, OL in 1st and 2nd.
This guy could be a better pro than college back imho.
He can catch and he's a load

part time back, Alabama pedigree

Big Bo!

I'm biased, but I'm a big fan of his. He runs a bit too upright but I thought Henry did too coming out.

Bo is like Brandon Jacobs lite. Very tough, physical runner - north south guy. Can play in the pass game as well.

If we don't draft Barkley (or another RB), I'd be totally fine using one of those 2 thirds to take him.
I wouldn’t be opposed.

The triumvirate of Perkins, Gallman and Stewart isn’t scaring anyone
Arc I concur

He would be a nice compliment to Gallman.
Not in the third

There are way too many better backs available. He needs to be a 4th or 5th round pick. I liked Bo but he is a high-hipped guy and he is no Derrick Henry.

As a 5th round pick, sure. But I think we'll have gotten a RB by then and he just isn't good enough to warrant a third rounder.
3rd round value is about right...

for Mr. Scarbrough. Wish I had more recollection of his receiving skills. I actually think he was okay...

I don't know why more players of his body type don't try TE, btw. With this frame and stride, he looks like it could be do-able...

I think that's too early for him

The consensus seems to have him going in the 5th round (give or take a round).

4th is probably more accurate - we should be able to get him there. Not sure he'd still be there in the 5th.

There are several backs in this draft better than Bo, but if we decide to go in other directions in earlier rounds, he'd be a good consolation prize later on.
Much rather see Penny at

the top of the third round.
If Penny is still there I take him

Bo maybe with our 4th rounder
Giants need a CB
giantstock : 3/22/2018 10:46 pm : link
If value is there I'd go with guys for example like Donte Jackson or Duke Dawson.

For RB's assuming guys like Guice, Chubb, Jones, Michel and Johnson are gone - I'd get Ballage.

But get the CB 1st if they are near value. If Apple fails, a corner is needed badly.
I'd use the #108 pick on him...
Torrag : 3/23/2018 12:51 am : link
...that'd our early 4th. He's not good enough to use a Top 70 selection on.

What are you talking about? It scares me.
3rd round picks are worthless according to BBI
SHO'NUFF : 3/23/2018 1:58 am : link
it means he got passed up by every team twice...why? because he sucks, like Webb.
He always

reminds me of Jacobs bit only for being a big back but the way he runs is so similar. That being said I like Penny if he’s there in the third.
Bo

Will be there late in the fifth round this draft is loaded with backs he is going to be a situational guy. He had good numbers at the combine but he was in fact a serviceable fill in who always just could not claim the starting spot at Bama.
No, we need players who aren't such high

injury risks. Scarbough was often nicked up, and had to miss a lot of time.

Quite frankly, it's hard enough to find a player that you think is going to stay on the field in the NFL, and if they can't do it consistently in college, that's a major red flag.
my favorite mid round RB
GiantsLaw : 3/23/2018 9:37 am : link
is Royce Freeman

Eh, he tore his ACL as a freshman but the only time he missed otherwise was when he broke his leg in the Championship game against Clemson.

He didn't miss any time last year and neither injury slowed him down.
I like him

i do think he'll be available in the 5th, maybe 6th round

Who is their big back, I remember liking him as a 4th or 5th rounder.
