He will likely get more than the Giants are willing to pay. They should offer him a 1 year $5 million dollar prove it deal.

He had a good year last year but from what I understand they went to a different defensive style. Why not give him more than the $5m? Isn't he already proven? He's a legit DL starter for the next 4-5 years.

Teams haven't seemed to be clamoring for him as he is yet unsigned. My guess is there's little/ no interest by DG.

I like to stock pile DT’s. I would want a rotatation to keep them fresh. They also seem to get nicked often and have to come out but do tend to go back in after a play or two.

Hankin’s has a controversial agent who pulled the three year deal out of the hat long after the media said he would not get $8m a year on a multiple.

He can be taking things slowly again.

it mentioned here before, but Hankins DL coach last year was Gary Emanuel. Emanuel is the Giants new DL coach.

With that said, the Giants don't have the dollars that Hankins will want.

Will be a backup making more money standing on the sidelines other than goal line or short yardage plays he is not better than Harrison. We need a Watt type player up front but they are damn hard to find if they are any.

to sign for backup money. His agent will be patient and get him a multi-year deal. I doubt it is with the Giants.

Third - Hankins would be making less than what JPP was making. So how is it that Giants can't afford him?

spent jpp's cap money thats why he was traded unless you think hankins can play 3-4 DE then he wouldnt make sense he is looking for more money than the giants could or would pay him just cant see it happening he is a good player but seams like the new scheme isnt a good fit for him DG wants his guys not reese's retreads after they get cut as well

1-- What did htey spend JPP's money on? Becuase they weren't looking to trade him.

2-- Yes I think he can be a DE and a very good fit in the 3-4. You don't? Why?

i was actually posing that more as a question he was 4-3 DT that usually doesnt translate to a 3-4 DE he was never known for QB pressure either in college or nfl level he was a run stopping tackle not a rusher its normally your larger pass rushing DE you would play there

kareem martins contract and the extra that went from what they are paying solder over what pugh was on thats where jpp's money went,jpp was traded to save the cap space for a player that wasnt a system fit under bettchers defence anyway
