my mom worked for the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and he and his wife were one of their biggest donors. I was fortunate enough to work at the Blockbuster corporate offices and their real estate division on my breaks until they moved to Dallas. I remember riding up the elevator with him and he made sure to say hello to everyone. I was also lucky enough to score a Christmas break job with the Florida Panthers. He also gave us free tickets to the first Blockbuster Bowl (Penn State vs Florida State). He also gave my mom free tickets to the Marlins for an inaugural celebration.
