Anyone else getting the sense that we're staying at 2 and taking either one of these guys and that the Browns are taking the other? I'd be surprised to see anything but Darnold and Barkley in blue and brown, respectively.
Same here but rather stay closer to the top of the draft. How about either letting the Jets think we're going QB or letting them think we're going to trade out so someone (Denver) can jump them?
We'd still get Barkley at 3 if Cleveland goes Darnold, and a pick or two from the Jets. I know they don't have much left but I'd take their #1 next year.
RE: RE: Darnold is their top QB and Barkley is their top player Â
I agree with this. I think Darnold and Rosen are the two top players considering their position.
Also while not part of the conversation if I got odds on the best player from this class I imagine Mayfield would be a long shot and I would take that bet. He really can play football and loves it. He could be one of the greats, but also pretty risky.
I really don't think trading down is going to happen Â
There would have to be an offer that blows away all previous trades. DG has too much to lose if any of the QBs we would pass on end up being really successful or Barkley tears it up.
Right know, trading past Browns at 4 leaves you with the possibility of missing out on 3 of the 4 QBs and Barkley. Even if DG ends up with Nelson or Chubb, everyone will point to who we could have had.
The only way this happens is they know Allen or Mayfield is going to drop and they have a really strong conviction that one of those 2 is their guy.
I agree with the original post. Barkley or Darnold will be our pick. Personally I am hoping for Barkley.
of any of the teams drafting in the top-10, I see them as the one most likely to do well enough to draft in the 20's next year.
I'm with you there and why my first preference would be to trade back one spot with the Jets if DG doesn't want a QB.
Then I'd see how it plays out and go from there. Who knows? Maybe Buffalo offers a haul to Cleveland for the #4 and DG can create a bidding war between them and Denver for the #3. Ideally he trades back one again to 4. Then Denver fears they'll miss the only QB left if Arizona or Miami or someone comes calling, and we get some picks from them as well and still end up with Barkley.
I know that's far fetched and a lot would have to happen ( I don't really see Cleveland trading out of 4 as I think they really want Chubb) but hell, a guy can dream.
Honestly I'd take a trade with the Jets, and be happy. If he could pull off one more and still get his guy, even better. j
Barkley
Allen
Chubb
Nelson
I'd be OK with any of them plus the extra picks.

with Denver at 5
Who's your favorite at 5?
Take who is left out of Barkley, Chubb, Nelson
This is good.
Thanks.
This is good.
Thanks.
Try leaving the board for a few weeks. We won't miss the douchbaggery in the interim.
This is good.
Thanks.

based on?
Based on his opinion, same as everyone else.
I’m OK with a trade down to 5 for the “King’s Ransom”, but I want Denver’s 2018 1, 2 & 3 and 2019 1.
Welcome back BB56!

I would take that, too.

I think Rosen not being able to finish college season has turned the Giants and DG off. Doubt he’s a target
