he should be out for the year then. In seriousness, may be nothing. But with this guy, and the fact it is the same foot...I'm certainly not assuming this won;t be a major issue.
As for Mike Ford, would be nice to get him back as more 1B depth. He was never a highly regarded prospect though. Tyler Austin and Billy McKinney would both be above him in the pecking order.
The Yanks don't start the season until the 29th, so there is time to rest if it is just sore.
On the other hand, his track record on injuries IS concerning. I wonder whether the Yanks bring back Austin just in case. Makes a lot more sense to have Plan B at 1B instead of carrying Wade, Walker AND Torreyes.
Walker will play first. Wade will play 2nd. Unless...

Tyler Austin comes up and platoons with Neil Walker at 1B. McKinney would probably get to play more 1B at Scranton in Austin's absence. Tyler Wade gets more time at 2B. If they need another option, Drury could probably play some 1B and Andujar could come up and play 3B. The Walker signing suddenly looks huge.

Yankees have been too patient need to move on first shoulder out for a fuckin year then ankle/foot most of last yr. needs to go on DL then sent down if they have options left without waiving
The guy is 25 and cant stay healthy??? Im sure teammates are wondering
Going to the game Monday hope to see Austin
I am worried about it, to be honest, Cashman said of Bird complaining of discomfort in the area that required surgery a year ago.
Nick Johnson II.
The plan for Andujar was 80/20 3B/1B at SWB. I doubt they'll play him at 1B in MLB without some games at AAA. But he might play a lot more 1B than 3B now.
Sounds like Austin/Walker will be the 1B to start the season unless they bring someone else in.
...and HFA in the ALDS and ALCS. Can't let him ruin another year being counted on, and not being able to answer the bell. Start to look for a 1B now. It's over for Greg Bird - makes Nick Johnson look like a pillar of strength and durability.

Good grief get a grip man.
It's reality. He missed 2016, missed most of 2017, and now in 2018? There comes a time when you have to stop counting on a guy.
B, if hes out a while, we have enough depth to get by while Cash looks for a more permanent replacement
Its fair to question whether we can ever count on him as a long term option...but he was a monster in the playoffs when he came back last year, nothing wrong with giving him a shot this season. Not like we threw big FA money at him here.

Austin had a nice spring. I would give him a chance over Lind.

80-20 for Andujar between 3d and 1st per Cash on RAB.
