We will use this as a discussion thread to keep the SELECTIONS thread uncluttered. These threads will be used for the duration of the entire draft.
Once a team is on the clock, they will have two hours to make a selection. If a team goes on the clock after 4pm, their two hour window will roll over to the next day. For example, if you go on the clock at 4:30pm, you will have until 9:30 am to make a selection. Picks may be made between 6pm and 9am if GMs are online and following the draft thread. The time limit only applies during the 9am to 6pm timeframe. If the two hour time limit expires, I will make a pick using any list that the GM for the team has sent me in advance (send lists to the email address in my profile) or in the absence of a list, I will use the GBN Big Board with a little discretion so as not make an obvious dumb pick (i.e.: Philadelphia Eagles won’t be taking a QB in the 1st round this year). If a GM misses two consecutive picks without providing a prospect list or making some form of contact with me (email or posting on the draft thread) the spot will be reassigned to one of the BBIers who have expressed an interest to fill the vacancy.
Please utilize the
BBI Mock Draft Spreadsheet . The spreadsheet contains the draft order (RD1-6) by team and GM with a fairly comprehensive list of both available and taken prospects based on the GBN Big Board (as well as several other prospects that did not make the GBN Big Board). I will try to keep the spreadsheet and thread updated as often as possible.
Yes. LT and LG
If he has 3 years like that you are talking about him going higher than 26. Risk is he can't shed blockers well enough but bare minimum I think he is a guy that will make plays in space and be a top flight coverage backer.
Lol. We are all amateur drafters here. Andy has no affiliation with the Giants. QBs went Rosen-Mayfield-Allen. Rosen viewed as #2 QB in this draft.

I wanted to see which qb Giants were going to take - Allen or Rosen.
Also, I would not have drafted Allen in the first round. Obviously, he wasn't lasting to the second round but that's the only pick he'd be on my radar.

Since we have had weekends before where 0 picks have been made, doing the math we will need to average slightly more than 14.5 picks per day in order to finish on April 20, the Friday before the draft (obviously, the more productive this is on weekends that brings down the average). User search shows that Pittsburgh was on BBI this morning but obviously did not make a pick in the Selection thread. Pittsburgh has until 11 AM then they will likely be awarded Derius Guice because he is the best player on the board and with Bell's contract demands and suspension issues I am not sure it can be said that it is so unreasonable that we must skip him.
What would a BBI Mock Draft be without those, especially for Jacksonville's GM, or the kick in the nuts .jpg?
I was hoping Lamar Jackson would slip to me at the pick, but sadly he went to Buffalo!

Dodged a bullet. Evans is a great pick. Was on the short list for me at #30 for Minnesota.
Will Hernandez is the pick to make the Jags running game even better. With the Norwell signing and now with Hernandez replacing Cann, the Jags will hopefully have the best offensive line in the NFL for years to come.

Makes sense. There are still two players who jump out at me if either are on the board for the Giants
Andy nice job at #2 overall. Darnold is the guy.

Kevin. Not cool. That was going to be my pick. Now I have to debate between 3 guys. Give me about 20 minutes.
No worries, I feel like Josh Jackson is a pretty damn good alternative. Adding Josh Jackson to a secondary with Xavier Rhodes and Harrison Smith...with Mackensie Alexander coming into his own, I'm going to put the best 3 corners on the field. Trae Waynes has been a bit of a disappointment, but I'm building a no-fly zone in the land of the thousand lakes. A great defense getting greater.
He is a monster that can move. Dave Te' Thomas said it has been 17 YEARS since he has scouted an offensive lineman with double digit knock down blocks per game. The last guy who did that...Walter freaking Jones. Will Hernandez did that last year with 10.33. He plays every game, and the only real question I had was if he is with his movement, because it's hard to believe a man that large can move as well as he does, but he really does. He is not just a run-blocking mauler, he can pass block as well, and he has strength in spades to anchor as well as the feet and base to disrupt quicker pass rushers.
37 bench press reps at the combine, and there may not really be much of a drop-off from Quenton Nelson and Hernandez. I feel like if he played at a big program, he'd go in the top 15.
Back to Josh Jackson...he has a little edge to him, he's smart, good at press or off, and tremendous ball skills. I think he's a big-time competitor, and his competitiveness is what won me over on him over a couple of other options.
If you're not adding gifs to your selection, I'm just gonna assume it was bad pick.
I agree. Obviously, Matt is really busy, and is unable to post Torrag's pick. Too bad he didn't share it with one of us for just this contingency.

The two names at the top of my board after the Hernandez pick are still there
I'm actually not sure what the hell I'm going to do. I'm not used to having this many picks...normally Indy trades them away.

Kid in a candy store? Take a little bit of everything, maybe?
Gotta think OL here, no? I don't see a crazy value at another position that'd make me wait on a hog molly...

One can reasonably debate whether the other player is crazy value at 34
