Pick anything you want. Trade up! Trade down! Trade OBJ! Trade Eli!
You don't have to support what you describe.
The Browns take Darnold #1. We then learn that the rumors are true . . . little Bill loves Rosen. The Giants trade the #2 pick to New England for #23, #31, #43, #63, and first round picks in 2019 and 2020.
I would oppose this, but can't discount a blockbuster trade if the Browns take Darnold.
Happy stunner - Stay at 2 and take Josh Rosen
Take “Chill Doll” Rosen; throw the remote and punch the wall.

Stunner for me - Trade with Buffalo for a ton of picks.

Chill Doll is batter!
That would absolutely shock me more than any trade down.
trading Eli would stun me
wouldn't really be a surprise to me considering it's been talked about. There are two surprises that come to mind though...
1. Drafting Baker Mayfield at 2.
2. Drafting Mincah Fitzpatrick at 2.
Those two scenarios would surprise (and frustrate me).
Staying put and drafting Nelson or Chubb would be a real stunner.
that would stun me because I think its too far to drop
Gettleman never did it when he was in Carolina. I don't remember GY or Ernie ever doing it it. Reese never did it. I would be stunned.

Break your hand and be known as 'China Doll Poster' on BBI ;)

and at the press conference, DG would say they received no good offers
2. But I’d live with whatever we do. Also would hate a trade down past 5 or so.
It doesn’t make sense passing on blue chip prospects and depend on higher risk lower draft picks and an unknown first round position for next year.
And then take Orlando Brown with our first pick (sorry. Andy in Halifax).
But Baker Mayfield would be a stunner......
Patriots moving into the top ten I expect a draft day surprise from them.....
to have our choice of Barkley or Chubb.
#5 will get us the leftover out of those 2.
and don't like the trade down options, so they just skip the pick and let the Jets go second.
....will be if we draft anyone other than Super Man (Barkley).
really. I would not be happy if we traded up to #1. I would not be happy if we trade down a few spots and take Allen..
I would be ok with a Trade with Buffalo as long as we get two 1's, two 2's and a 3rd and a 2nd next year.
If somehow NE is the trade partner then it better inckude both 1's, 2's and Gronkowski.
even up for #4 pick. Select Saquon Barkley with pick.
Any chance the Giants take a player at #2 other than the one you want ... and you patiently wait to see how it works out?
I mean, crazy thought but it is POSSIBLE that each of us is wrong in our evaluations and rankings despite our thorough youtube research. And maybe more than one player would work out for us.
Good: Trade up to 1, take darnold
Bad: Take Barkley at 2
Might make sense.
Fitz. DT will be fine. But it's about Collins doing other stuff in the field.
Then offense the rest of the draft.
Feed the betcher.
Role players for O.

This is the answer. As wasteful as taking Barkley would be - and that would be very poor draft management, especially this year with such a bumper crop of RBs - taking a G at the #2 spot would be a colossal mistake.
I wouldn't be surprised with any of the other QBs, Barkley, Chubb, or Nelson.
Actually, Fitzpatrick would be a stunner too.
I could throw in crazy stuff like "Lamar Jackson at #2" but we all know that's not happening.

You'd be stunned by what most other people expect?
And the Jets essentially draft 2nd.
That would surprise me.

I only see Mayfield at #2 if Jints Central trades the pick.
Mayfield is sort of the last thing Jints Central needs, especially if they keep OBJ. Why? The drama potential is enormous. Big personalities, big city, big media...big distraction. Now, if they want to own the back pages, then it may be an interesting business move. If they want to keep the best environment for football success...? Don not draft Mayfield.

That is my shocker pick as well but would not be mad either ... still would rather have Barkley @ 2.
