Crispino : 4/11/2018 8:48 am
Doc was the Giants team physician for more than 30 years, and was considered by many to be the father of modern sports medicine. He was a fixture on the Giants sidelines for decades and was a part of the fabric of the organization through some of its finest years. Rest In Peace Doc.

When I returned from the USAF, Giants seats were impossible to get at Yankee Stadium. Wellington Mara arranged for me to share a front box with Dr. Levy (we were both sports physicians) which was located in the midst of the Westchester Bulls (Giants farm team) section. Al and I shared many a game together and we continued to see each other at spring practices through the years. He was a fine gentleman and a great Giant fan. He will certainly be missed and we should find a way to remember him. Noel H. Kleppel, MD, FACS
An awfully nice man.
