Was I caught a glimpse of him with a clipboard mentoring Mitchell Trubisky on MNF last year. All I thought was I do not recommend you take any advice from that dude, Mitch!
I think Sanchez falls squarely in the bust column... Â
on Darnold. Do we "trust" USC QBs? Is (was?) Carson Palmer really any good? And I have a vague idea any other USC QBs of the last 20 or so years haven't done squat either.
Alex Smith is a Hall of Famer compared to Bust Sanchez.
Smith has had a QB resurrection. The guy is to be applauded for becoming a very competent QB. He actually has key numbers that are better than Eli’s. And he’s one of the best athletes in the league at his position.
I did not like him coming out of Utah. I thought he was vastly overrated and a product of Urban Meyer’s system. For a while, I was right. But I now I’m happy to root for him because of the way he’s persevered.

Thank you Mark Sanchez for the public service announcement... Â
Just another reminder of the perils of a franchise betting on the wrong quarterback.... Sanchez is most definitely a bust and may be the worst kind of bust because he showed promise in leading the jets to two AFC championship games in his first two year thereby extending the team's confidence in him.
And Alex Smith must also be considered a bust despite his solid play at the position if we use "winning a super bowl" as the only measure by which to properly judge a franchise quarterback. In fact, the very best draft year for quarterbacks by far, 1983, had six quarterbacks taken in the first round with three HOFers. But John Elway was the only super bowl winning quarterback of the six and it took him 13 years to get the trophy! Guys who were not half as good as Elway like Doug Williams, Jeff Hostetler and Mark Rypien won super bowls before Elway won. Will we really be happy if we have to wait until 2031 to win a super bowl with anyone we draft at quarterback?
Sanchez went to two AFC a championship games. That is not a bust.
My bad I meant Akili Smith, Alex Smith has been solid.

Swap Sanchez on those teams with even Kirk Cousins and the Jets have 2 rings. The guy's a bust.
lol
I'm just saying, he may have a case! NTTAWWT
Brother in law is a Bears fan.
he has or had the physical tools. A brain replacement, then I'd call foul.
Blew HOF for PEDs.
Was it really worth it , Mark?
Yeah, right.
League " you took PED'S"
Sanchez " have you seen me play?"

How is Sanchez not a bust? If the Giants traded down to #5 and got the QB of their choice anyway and he turned into Sanchez you'd be happy?
