If we don't want a QB at 2, but we want a premiere player, what if we take advantage of the premium Buffalo might being willing to pay for a QB and then still get a premiere player?
Trade #1
Trade #2 to Buffalo for #12, #22, #53, #56, #65, #96
Trade #2
Trade #12 and #22 to Denver for #5
Even if the Giants throw in an extra pick to get back to #5, they could still get Saquon Barkley and 3-4 extra Day 2 picks for who they want at #2 anyway.
What do you all think?
I'm assuming Cleveland is going to look to trade out of 4 to the highest bidder as well and Rosen goes #4.
Agreed, interesting but likely given DG and the Giants history,
If the Browns do go quarterback with their first pick, the pick will likely become an asterisk in posterity as the guy the Browns took in lieu of Barkley... replacing the world renowned DT Gerard Warren (who?) whom they took in 2001 two spots ahead of LaDainian Tomlinson, as one of the dumbest Browns moves ever...

Just because YOU think the QBs are interchangeable doesn't mean that the Browns (or any of the top-drafting teams) think that they are.
It's still very likely that the first 3 players selected are QBs. So if the Browns want Barkley (and some publications have stated that they prefer other players) they can still get him at 4.

These quarterbacks are interchangeable and whoever is available at four is fine for them; or they can trade up with the Giants if they are partial to one of them...

It's not me, its the myriad expert prognosticators... every day the best quarterback is someone different. Yesterday McShay said it was Darnold. Today Tony Pauline said it is Rosen. Tomorrow, someone will say it is Allen. I have no opinion on any of these quarterbacks only that they are all graded significantly below Barkley by everyone...
According to the trade chart 12 and 22 (1980 points) is more then #5 (1700 points). If the Giants added in Buffalo's pick at the top of the 3rd, that's 2,265 points for 1,700.
Even in that scenario, the Giants end up with the #5 pick and 3 second round picks and 3 3rd round picks.
Definitely an eye of the beholder

The chart has no or shouldn’t have anything to do with trades regarding the top of the draft. You hold one of the top picks someone wants it for a qb then they are going to pay through the nose to get there. After that use the chart.
Most likely trade partner IMO is Denver. It is clean and safe as one of Chubb/Neslon will be available at pick 5. NYG should also get another 2nd, 4th rounder this year and next years 1st.
All the other trade scenarions are very completed.
The rumors out of Denver are they don't want a QB because they want to continue give Paxton Lynch a chance.
