We have done this numerous years since I got here on BBI and I figured we should.....do it again! help pass the time on this garbage rainy April day(s) in New Jersey.
Any rumors, news, or guesses should be posted here until it is time for the full schedule to be out. I remember in many threads parts of the schedule would leak and we would try to put the pieces together.
I know everyone is chewing their arms off because of how slowly the time is moving until the draft. Got any guesses for week 1 opponent? It has been forever and many years since the Giants opened at home.
I cannot believe this is year number 6 for me for "See one road game a year". I dont know who I have my eyes on yet but it is looking like a good chance it is Indianapolis. How about you?
Or a schedule release date...release date? I think it was 4/19 or 4/20 last year? I know it will be this week. So dont be shy and join in on the discussions. We have cake.
Sadly, no one will really give a shit about Minnesota exacting their revenge against Philly with a QB who played for another team last year. I certainly don't.
Philly I'm not so sure is presentable as a week 1 defending champion nation wide. Who knows? Philly vs Minnesota, just doesn't see that as a something I wanna see on my plate come dinner time in week 1.
With New England, you could always put them against Pittsburgh or something. Seattle I think got Green Bay.
Minnesota just is a joke organization. Or I guess their storyline and pathetic showing in the NFCCG and with all the Kirk Cousins ongoing whereabouts last month just annoyed the hell out of me.
Something like home washington @ indy the first two weeks would be great.

Week 1 Thursday night is something I have heard is one of the possibilities.
I thought they already announced the Vikes were going to play Philly in the opener?
The NFL never announced that. WIP Radio in Philly reported that was what they were hearing, but it has never been confirmed by the league at all.
should add: not vs Dallas either
Well thats an easy feat when you dont have any.....
Everyone thought my one buddy was (who is two years older than me) was legitimately my father. I guess it doesnt help he does look like hes 49.
That was mainly a dig at NJ Cowboy fans who don't have the luxury of seeing the Cowboys at home.
To which my dad (who is good friends with a number of Panthers players, including real tight with Kawaan Short because they belong to the same fraternity) replied:
I didn't ask them why they thought it (because I really don't much care at this point) but will ask and see if it's just them guessing or not. Normally I wouldn't have even bothered to post this but only did because of this thread. Feel free to take it for what it's worth.
They will likely confirm some select games today or tomorrow, like NFL opener, MNF opener, and then the balance later on.
I am guessing we DONT open at Philly. Nothing that exciting about that.
More likely to be Vikes, or possibly an AFC team to spread the interest.
Away: Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers
10/21 or 10/28. Each London Team has a bye following also.
We can almost assume we won't see these teams on 10/21, 10/28 or 11/4.

used the london sked to eliminate games vs jax, phl, and tenn.
used the running approach of alternating home mnf games, and tnf. last year, we played a home mnf game to open, and played away tnf.

Something about Bears at Giants screams Monday Night football. They were here in 2016, not that many fans like when I saw Chicago in 2004 when Kurt Warner was QB.
The last number of years, they host TNF and play away MNF or vice versa.
....
2013 vs Vikings
2014 vs Colts
Usually more NFC East games in December.

2 for sure, MNf and TNF based on this.
Drop any other sunday into 830, for 3. That is all we will get to start.

heard a rumor today that we'll open up in Carolina.
How are their fans?
They are decent enough. There will probably be a fair amount of Giants fans there, although if it is the home opener, maybe not as strong as in other years.
Panther fans are generally friendly and welcoming. If it is a 1PM game, the early tailgaters will all be Giant fans. Panther fans start to get to the lots around 10AM or later.
