- Jacoby Ellsbury (per C. Harvey): Aaron Boone says Yankees OF Jacoby Ellsbury is dealing with a new injury issue. The team thinks the oblique injury "is past," but in addition to the hip problem, Ellsbury has developed a plantar fascia problem.
- Greg Bird (per C. Harvey): Aaron Boone says injured Yankees 1B Greg Bird (foot/ankle) is doing well with his rehab. The Yankees still don’t know exactly when Bird will be back, but they are optimistic his return will be “on the shorter side” of his 6-8-week scheduled recovery.
- Brandon Drury (per D. Hamilton): The migraine headaches and blurry vision issues that sent third baseman Brandon Drury to the 10-day disabled list on April 7 are gone … at least for the time being
- Clint Frazier (per D. Hamilton): He’s still making progress in Tampa recovering from a February concussion, but not yet medically cleared to play in games. “Frazier is close to passing everything he needs to where he can get back to baseball and start to hopefully get into a game real soon,” manager Aaron Boone said on Sunday. “But he’s got to pass all the protocols for that to happen.”
