This guy continues to suggest that the Bills and NYG are angling towards a deal with the possibility that CLE joins the fray.
Is this guy one of those "throw shit on the wall" reporters or does he have a good reputation for reporting things that are ya know...true?
Regardless, I don’t see anything happening until draft night. It all comes down to what DG/PS feel about the QB’s. How much does NYG like Darnold? Just don’t see any deal being made until CLE or NYG is on the clock.
He said 3-way deal:
Gmen get picks 4 and 22
Bills get 1
Browns get 2 and 12
He then got ripped asking why on Earth the browns would want to go from 1 / 4 to 2 /12 and he then started backpedaling about CLE getting additional assets (no mention of from who) and maybe he had some things noted incorrectly as this was communicated via conversation from his source/his district GM (god only knows where he works) that is friends w and spoke w Russ Brandon
so apparently Forbes source is some knucklehead kid in Buffalo
Buffalo gets #1 overall pick.
Cleveland gets #2, #12 and #65.
NYG gets #4, #22, #53 and #56.
Buffalo gets #1 overall pick.
Cleveland gets #2, #12 and #65.
NYG gets #4, #22, #53 and #56.
BUF & NYG make out like bandits, CLE would need more.
Buffalo gets #1 overall pick.
Cleveland gets #2, #12 and #65.
NYG gets #4, #22, #53 and #56.
Why would Cleveland do this trade?
I do think there is a fit. Buffalo is going to have to get their 2019 1st involved though.
Cleve- 2, 12, 53, 56 and a #1 next year
Gmen- 4, 22, 96
Cleveland gets to take Allen as the #2 (which is less money than #1), gets another 1 next year, gets the 12 this year plus two 2nd rounders this year.
The Giants get the guy they wanted at 2 at number 4 and get another 1st and another 3rd.

That additional 3rd would give us three 3rd round picks and ammunition to move up in round two if we wanted to.

Jesus with the "trade value chart" nonsense.
It's not a thing anymore unless Jimmy Johnson goes back to coaching in a time machine to before rookie salaries were slotted.
Cleveland moves down one.. Still gets a QB, lower cap hit and gets extra picks..
Giants move down.. still have some of their top targets available.. pick up a One.. and get at least a #2 or #3.. if they get a #3 thats a total of three.. and they can package two of them to move back up into the second round if need be..
Bills get the guy they want... They are assured of getting their QB of choice.
It makes sense.. would it happen.. who the heck knows..
Buffalo gets #1 overall pick.
Cleveland gets #2, #12 and #65.
NYG gets #4, #22, #53 and #56.
No. Cleveland would need at least #22, and a first round pick in 2019, and probably more.
If you think there's 3 blue chip players then one of them will still be there at 6 as well if 3 QB's go 1,2,3

Indy is at 6 - they have no reason to trade up.

Belichick on the chart (although I'm not sure he's talking about Johnson's chart or some other common chart)

But there's renewed talk the Colts are looking to trade down again, potentially putting the likes of the Dolphins or Bills in at 6 who might still want to go come up again.
And he was the first to report that Norwell to the Giants was a "done deal". The guy is a hack.

It would make more sense if Giants got 4 and Buffalos #2s
Cleveland gets 2 12 21 and Buffalo 2019 #1
Buffalo gets #1
Good for Giants as they could get Barkley plus picks
I do not see why the Browns would do it unless they KNOW that the Bills want a different QB than they want.
