Sam Hubbard Ohio State

If we don't draft Chubb in the first round (and I don't think we will at 2) this guy could be a nice addition at DE in round 2 if available. Hopefully the Patriots don't grab him late in the first round to help their pass rush situation.

He should be in the mix at #34 if still available

Sam is what every 3/4 defensive coordinator is looking for in an edge rusher who can fall off the line, be used in pass rush schemes and be stout against runs and sweeps to his side. He has the height, length and foot speed to track down plays all over the field. He shows on film good explosion off the line to rush and overall good strength to string out plays and be stout against zone blocking schemes. Sam has the potential to impact in the right defense with the right coordinator.

You seeing any Cam Robinson's this year? I think OL could be the best value in the second. Rankins?
just heard him

compared to Joey Bosa on the radio.

If he makes it to pick 34 regardless of if we go Chubb we should get him.
He's a good player
Kyle in NY : 4/17/2018 3:59 pm : link
but he's not Bosa, that's an unfair comparison. Bosa is already one of the best in the league.

Hubbard doesn't have that same explosiveness. Does not dominate in the same way. Will be a solid pro, not sure he's worth the 34th pick.
This is where scheme shift helps

They should be able to find prospects more readily than the hard to find quick twitch types who can play two ways.
Hubbard's versatility

is a big strength, IMO. He'd be a great pick at 34.
