If you were looking QB from 06-11 you basically couldnt get one. Unless you had the one pick in te right year. Hard to do.
Otherwise your only changes at a decent QBs were Flacco and cutler
Ouch.
This cant be risked. We already know next year is a bad class.
Agreed. But unfortunately a lot of fans have this irrational belief that you can get a qb any year you want, the same fans who believe Eli is winning another SB here. 2019 looks weak and 2020 isn't sizing up to be much better, a lot of weak armed, undersized qbs.
that most years there aren't any QB's worth taking, so you better take one this year, or...
That most years there aren't any QB's worth taking, so why should this year be any different?
Doesn't it really all depend on the grade of the QB? The fact that we're picking #2 has nothing to do with those grades.
I'm hopeful we can find the QB we need, but the moral of this story to me is don't try to force a pick if the grade isn't there just because you've got a tremendous asset (#2).

Take Rosen and be thankful you can.

How do you know next years qb stink? Have you seen all of them any of them play?
To be fair, it is currently considered a bad class by all reports. That could definitely change, but hoping it does is a big risk.
and to be honest, most on this board that don't want a QB haven't seen the QBs play. They are basing it on reports and rumors.
Person A:
51,065 yards 329 TD 94 QBR
6 pro Bowls 2 Super Bowls
Person B:
51,682 yards 339 TD 84 QBR
4 Pro Bowls, 2 Super Bowls
You really have to split some hairs in order to find one a sure bet HoFer and the other one not.
