Dalvin Cook & the role of RB in Shurmur’s offense

CypressGFan : 7:37 pm
Not sure what the comparisons are between Cook & Barkley. Haven’t seen anyone really mention how Cook was used before injury and Barkley’s potential strengths in this offense.

Cook is 5’10 / 215 (Barkley 5’11 / 230)
Rushing 74 ATT 354 Yards
Receiving 11 CAT 90 Yards

This occurring in only 4 games before injury. Looks like Cook was on his way to a monster year. Got 20+ touches per game in a small sample size. Would appear that Barkley would flourish in this role.

and Cook would have excelled anywhere he went.
The intriguing thing about Barkley

Is that he has a complete game. He does everything well. He could step in day one and start. The big issue with rookie backs is pass pro. Not Barkley.

He is excellent running routes, has great hands and is a miss match.

If NYG is truly happy with Eli and Webb, Barkley will be the pick.

Cook was really coming into his own before his injury

The Vikings would have went farther if not for him being out
Barkley = Ki Jana Carter! Pass.

Barkley heals the sick in his spare time by placing his hand over the part of the body that hurts.

I heard Barkley can carry the ball better by running on his hands than most backs can by running with their feet...
