what I figured
This seems like one of the best schedules in a long time.
rasbutant : 4/19/2018 9:11 pm : link
Not talking about who they are playing, but the logistics and travel.

Week 3: Play in Texas
Week 4: Home
Week 5: Short flight, same timezone, Carolina
Week 6: Thursday,Home Game
Week 7: Short Flight, same time zone, Atlanta
Week 8: Home Game
Week 9: BYE, Plenty of time to go west to SF
Week 10: Monday, San Francisco
Week 11: Sunday, Home Game
Week 12: Short drive to Philadelphia
Week 13: Home Game

Week 17: Home Game
Hate the night games
nyjuggernaut2 : 4/19/2018 9:13 pm : link
.
The only real negative is flying home for SF after a monday night game
rasbutant : 4/19/2018 9:14 pm : link
and being ready to play on Sunday.

Week 10: Monday, San Francisco
Week 11: Sunday, Home Game
it was so bad last year
madgiantscow009 : 4/19/2018 9:49 pm : link
even the schedule got released.
Funny thing is
nyjuggernaut2 : 4/19/2018 10:05 pm : link
we are still the visitors for the Cowboys home opener on a Sunday night, except the game is week 2 this time around instead of the normal week 1.

Not so much funny as SUX! I was there for that game last year. Yuck.
First half
eric2425ny : 4/19/2018 10:57 pm : link
Of season is brutal (assuming teams are as strong as last year). If we can escape with a 3-4 record after week 7 we might have a shot at a wild card.
Still at a disadvantage.
smshmth8690 : 4/19/2018 11:02 pm : link
Only catch 1 team, Carolina, coming off of a bye, but catch 3 teams coming off of a thursday game on 10 days rest. I think you should only have to play one of each.
Four
Dragon : 4/20/2018 2:42 am : link
Prime time games can't begin to understand how that happened who wants to watch a 3-13 team?
Is it weird...
Dan in the Springs : 4/20/2018 4:10 am : link
To not know which day a game is going to be played on?

I mean I get flex scheduling, but you would think they would commit to a day if not a time. Fans who travel are impacted.

Is this unusual it have I missed that this happens with regularity?
Well, I like the bye week!
wgenesis123 : 4/20/2018 5:27 am : link
Never liked playing a Monday night game in San Francisco.
If The Giants Draft a QB at 2...
Jim in Tampa : 4/20/2018 5:59 am : link
Then this schedule may hasten the end of the "Eli regime".

I could see Eli starting all the games in the brutal first half of the season, but then when the Giants hit the 7 or 8 loss mark, there would be no reason not to play the rookie QB.
Best schedule we have had in years
Boatie Warrant : 4/20/2018 7:21 am : link
I think this is the first time in over 5 years that I really can't complain about the schedule. Seems very normal compared to the rest of the teams. Here's hoping to a good year!

Good Job
The one thing I do not like is
SteelGiant : 4/20/2018 8:32 am : link
We play the Super Bowl champs/divisional rival on short rest:
Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 7 – at Carolina Panthers, 1:00 p.m.*
Week 6: Thursday, Oct. 11 – vs. Philadelphia Eagles, 8:20 p.m.
I hate the Falcons game
superspynyg : 4/20/2018 9:10 am : link
Monday night. I have a ticket(s) to this game but will have to take off a day and a half to go.

BOOOOOOOOOOO
I like it...
Brown_Hornet : 4/20/2018 9:14 am : link
...14-2!
I see
Joey in VA : 4/20/2018 12:46 pm : link
4-5 wins pending next Thursday-Saturday. That schedule looks horrible but it's impossible to tell this far out who will rise and fall based on last year.
Interesting....
BillKo : 4/20/2018 12:49 pm : link
..that we don't play any back-to-back home games.

When's the last time that happened?
Looks like....
M.S. : 4/20/2018 3:46 pm : link

...7-9 to me.

Week 1: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (L)
Week 2: at Dallas Cowboys (L)
Week 3: at Houston Texans (L)
Week 4: New Orleans Saints (W)
Week 5: at Carolina Panthers (L)
Week 6: Philadelphia Eagles (W)
Week 7: at Atlanta Falcons (L)
Week 8: vs. Washington Redskins (W)
Week 9: BYE
Week 10: at San Francisco 49ers (L)

Week 17: Dallas Cowboys (W)
Tallying wins and losses at this point
LakeGeorgeGiant : 4/20/2018 4:04 pm : link
is ridiculous. We have no clue how good any of these teams will be, but we go through this pointless excercise every year.

I agree. However, you could argue the teams with legit qbs will be formidable, therefore it's not out of the real of possibility (pending a qb injury) that the Giants could be a very middling team next season. I think 7-9 or 8-8 is a very distinct possibility. But a deep playoff run is unlikely. Yet another reason why I believe locking up the qb of the future at #2 is important.
wow, almost as brutal as last year
NYDCBlue : 4/20/2018 5:10 pm : link
Honestly, 2-6 going into the bye should be considered really playing well against that schedule.

Looked over second half.... It is only slightly better. Optimistically, assuming we manage a split with Dal and Wash, 4-12 is looking like a likely record for this squad. If they win 4.
Of course I was being at least a little absurd...
M.S. : 4/20/2018 7:14 pm : link

...putting down wins and losses for a team I hardly recognize anymore. But if truth be told, I stretched for 7 wins.

A long, deep stretch!!! (:-(

We have one of the most exciting players in the league and we aren't the jets and to minimize Sunday conflicts. A certain number of games need to be another day in primetime or Saturday
