I thought there was talk of admitting to the mistake, but they have doubled down.

Would they though? I’d prefer Saturday night if anything
And the games are often ugly affairs because the road team can't prepare (no practices before the game).
last year I found myself just forgetting that football was even on most of the time.
But as usual, the NFL tries to fail forward with the hope that consumers will come around. If those jerk offs in New York had their way, they'd show a game each day of the week. And half of them in other countries. It just amazes me how they couldn't leave well enough alone with the greatest aspect of their brand - professional football reserved for Sundays only.
The worst idea of all are the London games. What an unmitigated disaster from a quality standpoint.
It's just a clinic how the owners just roll over the union time and time again. The NFLPA is the most gullible, dumbest, incompetent union in sports.
Between all of the above, the ridiculous rules that most can't understand, the endless replays, the pussification of the sport, etc, etc, the product had never been worse.
I anticipate it getting worse over time because the safety concerns will make the game unrecognizable in a decade.

Agree 100%
Yet I watch most of the time.
Friday would be worse. Friday night HS football, which is a staple of Texas HS football, has made its way across the country. People might make time to watch a Thursday game but would never give up a Friday night HS game.
I prefer when the Thursday night match-ups are bad. That way I miss nothing.
