CBS Sports: Seven-round Mock Draft...

M.S. : 4/20/2018 9:28 am
...with 21 trades, 256 picks and draft class analysis for all 32 teams.

Because we can never have too many 7-Round Mock Drafts! {:-)

Incidentally, they have the Giants getting Darnold at #2, and also trading away our 34th pick (in the second round) to the Buffalo Bills, who select D.J. Moore, WR out of Maryland.

IMO, D.J. Moore has NFL All-Star written all over him... and then some!

Awful draft for the Giants, imo.

Don't see them trading down from 34
jeff57 : 4/20/2018 9:43 am : link
to pick up an extra 3.
Outside of that Orlando Brown pick

Despite the combine, Brown could turn out to be a good RT.
Really like the Falcons haul
GuzzaBlue : 4/20/2018 9:50 am : link
and the Pats and Browns had great drafts.
So Dave Gettleman, who has NEVER traded down
Capt. Don : 4/20/2018 10:02 am : link
drops 20 spots in the 2nd round for a 3rd round pick with Billy Price, Connor Williams and James Daniels available at 34?

Right.
He lost me at...

Considered the most pro-ready QB prospect in the draft by many, Darnold could also take the field in the second half of his rookie year if the Giants are going nowhere.
This is the first I've heard from anybody that Darnold is the most pro-read QB prospect.
That would be an amazing draft
AcesUp : 4/20/2018 10:20 am : link
Solid value across the board and would fill multiple needs. To grab what is widely considered the top QB in the draft, 2 Day 1 starters (Michel and Dawson), an immediate contributor on specials and as a pass rusher with big upside in Turay and 2 legitimate OL prospects would have me very excited.
Agree With Milton

Darnold might be a better prospect than Rosen or the other QBs. But,Rosen is clearly the better, or best, prospect to start in year 1. Darnold looks like the better choice if he can back up Eli for a year
To me, Rosen is not only the most ready qb, but the most talented qb

in this draft. I love his deep ball and the way he hits receivers in stride. But those two concussions would drop him a long way if I were running a draft board.
Where do I sign for this draft

Please let it shake out this way.

Thats the thing. Pro-ready means nothing to me as a Giants fan. That is not a plus, because unless the season goes totally in the tank early, there is no real way the rookie QB is going to be counted on to do anything Year 1. It's all about Year 2 and beyond.
2nd

Round has a ton of talent still there in this mock in truth from pick 15 on they are all quality players depending what your looking for. The 3rd and 4th rounds also have very good players this is a very good draft well into round 6.
Problem I have with 2nd rd trade down is
Joe in CT : 4/20/2018 12:22 pm : link
both Price and Daniels still on the board, Giants can't pass on either, many have both as 1st rd talent. I'd rather have either player instead of grabbing less rated prospect later on in draft.

Would be open if both players are off the board, also do not like the Brown pick, not sure tackle is as much as a need as interior lineman.
No way they trade out of #34
Stu11 : 4/20/2018 2:03 pm : link
especially with the talent available there according to him. Heck if they don't sign another WR I'd take Moore there if he's available which I doubt. He's a 1st rounder I bet. Put it this way, as a Terp alum who watches a decent amount of games Moore was more impressive than Diggs at UMD. He had a huge season this year with absolute beef gabaggio throwing him the ball.
I should say after week 2 about the QB's
Stu11 : 4/20/2018 2:06 pm : link
when he had 2 good young QB's throwing to him before they both tore ACL's Moore tore Texas to shreds.
I would

Hate that draft
