For those who can't wait for the draft...

Tim in VA : 4/20/2018 9:29 am
so this neverending argument about QB vs non-QB will come to an end, I have bad news. It won't end there. It may go on for years. No matter who is selected, some will feel justified yelling "I told you so" from the mountain tops. The losing side will claim this is the biggest mistake in Giants' history, and then secretly (or not so subtly) waiting for the first sign of failure so THEY can say I told you so.

I pray I'm wrong. Please tell me I'm wrong.
Sorry...

I can’t tell you you’re wrong...

this is absolutely true, at least we won't have 30 threads a day on it......or maybe we will.
After the draft there will be 4,123 posts about why the Giants drafted

this guy and not that guy, why didn't they trade up or down!
There is absolutely no chance

that this is correct.
There is just as much joy in being wrong and winning..

as being right and winning. Winning a championship is all that matters. And the people who were wrong will gleefully and humbly acknowledge the error in their ways as they raise their glasses. As will I if we are so fortunate in the next several years.

No one will be shouting or chest pounding if they were right and this team is descending to where the Cowboys and 49ers have been for the last two decades... They will simply be spending their time pursuing more fruitful endeavors.
As bad as the threads about the same topics and arguments are
Gatorade Dunk : 4/20/2018 9:55 am : link
The threads complaining about those threads are even worse. And there will those threads after the draft and beyond too.
Hats why going into the draft with a concrete expectation
UConn4523 : 4/20/2018 9:56 am : link
is pointless. I’d like a good player, that’s it.
After the draft is over,
Brown Recluse : 4/20/2018 9:59 am : link
we'll all be bored again until July and find other things to argue about. Can't wait.
Make it stop

I hear you. I was involved in some of these threads weeks ago but got tired of the same arguments we no new information to the point that I spend very little time here now. Your right that these threads are really no better. Better to just find something more productive to do.
I guess I do hold out in hope that when i it's all said and done we can look forward and not backward, find value in the Giants choice and have this site be something that doesn't make you want to eat glass.
You're wrong. There, I told you, but I don't really believe it myself

The good news is that the Raiders have somewhat finally recovered from taking Gallery #2 overall in 2004.
You are so right - we are still getting the occasional Aaron Donald

thread.
and Zack Martin
arniefez : 4/20/2018 10:26 am : link
I still take either of them over a WR.
Zack Martin and Aaron Donald?
Gatorade Dunk : 4/20/2018 11:35 am : link
We still get threads about taking Shaun Alexander instead of Ron Dayne.

Nah, there are definitely posters who would much rather be right even if it means the Giants lose as a result.
As long as the Giants don’t take Rosen
YorkAveGiant : 4/20/2018 2:23 pm : link
I’ll be good with whomever it is and will avoid all negative threads.

If it is Rosen, I’ll be so scared for my teams football life for fear he goes out...I won’t have time to argue for or against him.
ESPN has been redoing past draft top 10 picks
jeffusedtobeonwebtv : 4/20/2018 2:37 pm : link
guess what---they do not have the Giants picking Ereck Flowers. Well we all could have come up with that, but with the advantage of tremendous hindsight, they think the Giants should have drafted Dak Prescott.

BTW, I have another reason why I cannot wait until the first day of the draft---it is my birthday!
I don t understand the annoyance
joeinpa : 4/20/2018 6:22 pm : link
Of the draft banter. This is the most interest this sithas had for an off season maybe ever.
Agree

3-13 season, no defensive intensity, no running game, dying QB on the vine, disaster O-lineman. It couldn't have ended quicker.

Now the day where NY Giant fortunes can change is almost upon us. We are in a position to pick a game changer, or our next QB or pick up a whole bunch of pieces to improve the roster.

If you don't like the debates on BBI regarding this, go play with yourself...
I am in the draft Darnold or Rosen group
Jay on the Island : 4/20/2018 7:28 pm : link
but if the Giants select Barkley or Chubb and they go on to become superstars I will not complain one bit. I will root hard for whoever they select. If Barkley becomes a good but not great RB and the QB's the Giants pass on go on to become franchise QB's then this decision will haunt us for years until the Giants find their next franchise QB.
maybe by miracle getts
micky : 4/21/2018 7:13 am : link
maneuvers a way to satisfy everyone...ie A QB and Barkley, AND Chubb AND Nelson

......one can really dream..right?
