He did say he was a Giants fan growing up.

Weis asking what he sees himself as- Nelson- I see myself as a dominant offensive line who tries to inflict his will all game long. Tries to be his best every day.

Nelson picked ND due to its Oline Coach who is now with Chicago. Nelson said picking ND and the OL coach was the best decision he could have ever made.

They mentioned he could play for the coach again with Bears. Weis says no way he makes it past Chicago.

Weis- mentions QB's throw off draft as far as best players in draft, Nelson is in top 4 according to Weis.

Nelson admits he rooted for the Giants when he was young and says it would be special to play for the Giants.

Tucker asking about playing Tackle- Bengals only team asked him about being able to play Tackle.

Weis says he won't last very long in the draft, mentions Giants could use you but don't see Giants drafting OL at #2. Names all the other teams that could use him.

Tucker says Nelson is one mean dude on the field. Nelson enjoys taking the will of his opponent on the field. Nelson says every play do the best of my ability and then a little more- finish my play, beat him down and never let my teammates down. He is a finisher.

Nelson says he weighs about 329 right now.

Tucker asking about Mike McGlinchy and their bond- they are very close, work out together, hang together in film study, off the field etc. Says Mike McGlinchy is a hard worker and will make a team better wherever he goes.

Side note- I really like this guy and his mentality. Reminds me of Bavaro in how he talks about blocking.

HMM, I didn't get that impression. I just don't think he cares to interview.

work for me at #4 if that deal happens. Both barring injury, will make their position more than solid for multiple years and make an instant impact. That is what you have get in top ten picks. Unless it is a QB you want to wait 2/3 years for to play and might still suck.

I didn't hear him but if he went to ND he must have some smarts to get it. Maybe he's just not comfortable in front of a mic?

As for being a Giants fan growing up, it makes sense. He's a Jersey boy who went to Red Bank Catholic H.S.
