So far Knicks have interviewed stackhouse, Woodson, and jackson..
Fizdale is supposed to be this week not sure if it was yesterday or going to be tomorrow..
Blatt is next week...
Smith interviewed for Knicks gm in 08,interviewed to be rockets head coach in 16...
I am actually intrigued by Smith, he is a smart guy, knows the game, I would want a very veteran filled coaching staff though
Knicks have not earned the benefit of the doubt for the simple fact they have ducked for so long...
A team like the spurs they could hire a guy like Smith and no one would say boo
Which they should, next year should be all about development of the young guys and adding another pick...
If you are mad about that go find another team to root for...for once they are not going for a quick fix
We need talent though, we must strike GOLD in this draft
Parker or Randle would be my targets if Kanter opts out
What was his deal this year? He didn't play at all

He cares about playing the game of basketball as well.

Carlisle hated him, from tidbits from an older Zach Lowe podcast he didn't seem like the most passionate NBA player. Weird, he seems like a cool guy, he has like a half court on the first floor of his house so he can always get shots up.
Yet another one of those trades that ends up seeming like the team initially claimed as the "loser" looks better off a year or two later (Cousins, Butler, George, etc.)

But circling back to the Knicks, I'd be fine with a 1 year deal for him. Talent and fit are there, still 23.

I am surprised he took his name out of the running for phoenix
Doubtful
I'd still lean toward Stackhouse as my first choice, but Bud would be a heck of a choice, depending on compensation.

That is also his hometown team as well, weird

They're notoriously cheap though.

Phoenix's owner is one of the worst in the NBA. I'm sure he didn't want to pay up for Bud. He would be a home run for the Knicks.

That is what I was thinking
I think he will get the starter role and minutes to go with it, even if they do draft a PG (which I don’t think they will). He’ll have an audition to see if he’s the PG this team locks down for the long haul.
And I think he’ll do it, but I’m usually optimistic about young Knicks players.
No I don't think so. Ideally you want him coming off the bench.

Can we pencil in Trey Burke to PG in 2018-9? Should we be looking at 1-2 with our second round pick?

Who is this starting PG the Knicks are going to acquire in the offseason? I’m not seeing it...
