I was all for it but seems like they truly do view Nimmo as a bench player at this point.

Im not saying they view Nimmo as a "bench player" in general. Im saying they view him as somebody that doesnt deserve playing time over three all stars (Cespedes, Conforto, and Bruce) which is still surprising.

hitting if he wants to keep playing. He has a 70 wRC and has been awful in the OF. Truly awful out there. If Nimmo truly is the better option then he needs to play.

I’m not saying we’re there yet, but keep an eye on it. The final answer might be Bruce at 1B but AGonz is hitting. Players with far larger contracts than Bruce have taken a seat.

Interested to see if that wicked change-up is back again.

Good luck with that Mickey. There’s no way Harvey agrees to go to the pen. Ultimate team player.

Sounds like they are considering the minors, the bullpen, or possibly DLing him. Either way, Harvey is about to lose his spot.

To minors they are delusional. It’s bp, phantom DL with rehab start, or he is making another start.

Well, I think it’s a bit premature to send down Rosario. I mean, he’s hitting .246. Not great but not horrible. Swanson was sub .200 for a bit. I’d like to see if he can turn things up a notch against MLB pitching. There’s nothing to gain from posting boosted hitting stats in Vegas.

The problem is that he's out either way. You arent giving Harvey his spot back and putting Vargas in the pen after Harvey has been bad for a month and his stuff is noticeably not there. You are right that Harvey can refuse assignment to Vegas but Mickey was literally just talking about it as a possibility before the game tonight. It does sound like they are leaning pen though which is fine. He would basically replace Bautista who clearly isnt ready anyway. .

I agree with you that it is too soon. I was suggesting that if he continue to struggle then send him down for a confidence boost.
