NFT: Jack Curry believes Gleyber Torres is getting the call.

Nysportsfn13 : 4/21/2018 6:14 pm
It can’t be a coincidence that Gleyber Torres was removed from today’s Scranton game. My expectation is that he will be with the Yankees tomorrow. Curry
If that is
YANKEE28 : 4/21/2018 6:22 pm : link
accurate, it means the Yankees have to make 2 moves:

1. Cut someone from the 40 man roster
2. Demote someone (Wade?) off the 25 man roster and down to Scranton.
YES!!!

Source: Gleyber Torres will be promoted and will join the Yankees on Sunday. So the Gleyber Era will begin.

Torres is already on the 40 man roster. They just have to demote someone from the 25. Most likely it will be Wade.
Andujar will likely continue to start at 3B.
Ace718 : 4/21/2018 6:27 pm : link
Torres played the last couple of games at 2B. Hopefully he starts at 2B and Austin gets to start at 1B. That's the best lineup right now. I know Torreyes has hit when given a chance but I like him in the utility man role.

YANKEE28 : 4/21/2018 6:28 pm : link
you are correct
Yep, likely
section125 : 4/21/2018 6:29 pm : link
Wade. Only other possibility is Andujar and he is hitting.
Iiiiiittttttssssss Glebering time!!

Our first look at the Yankees top prospect.
...
BleedBlue : 4/21/2018 6:50 pm : link
Excited as are most but I still think the Yanks need to package a couple prospects for another big time starter.

Pair that guy with sevy

Move Tanaka to 3 and gray to 4
Gray needs to get his shit together or he can go
robbieballs2003 : 4/21/2018 7:03 pm : link
I trust Montgomery more than him.
I hope for Torres
dune69 : 4/21/2018 7:08 pm : link
at 2nd and Andujar at 3rd. By mid-year along with Bird, they will look good. My hope for our pitching...get some outs.
Andujar is likely fixed at third. Gleyber is official.
manh george : 4/21/2018 7:20 pm : link
His bat speed for a not-that-huge 23-year-old is just spectacular. His swing is a little bit like Soriano's was at his peak--just a little "c" at the start to get the whip going. 9 for 20 in his last 5 starts.

Gleyber is up. (link)

Assuming Wade to SWB and Petersen DFA'd

Didi (SS)
Torres (2B/3B)
Austin (1B/OF)
Andujar (3B)
Torreyes (2B, SS, 3B)
Walker (1B, 2B, 3B)

Bird 1B(DL til mid May)
Drury (3B/2B)(DL 10 day)

He’s 21. He will be the youngest Yankees position player since Jeter, and scouts compare his inside out approach to all fields to Jeter’s approach as well

Andujar has Hank Aaron wrists, right around the time you stopped hearing Andujar's name in trade talks.

Having Torres up, too, will be awesome.
Andujar is raking

to all fields. He's not going anywhere.

Ah yep, my bad there. I agree on the Andujar point and comparison

And just in case anyone is wondering, Aaron had already long since retired when Andujar acquired his wrists. It wasn't what ended Aaron's career.
It's official
Beer Man : 4/22/2018 8:00 am : link
He joins the Yankees today. He was already on the 40-man so there is no need to cut anyone.
