No Nimmo tonight -- had hoped he might get in for Bruce or Conforto -- but Reyes gets a start. Hopefully he can get something at all going offensively.
You can't stop Ryan Flaherty you can only hope to contain him.
Good mound visit by Eiland!
This team is all about the blood pressure raise.
Hook this guy.
Maybe he can't do this back to back deal.
We need Swarzak back badly.
Blevins has been wretched lately. Need a quality AB here against Freeman.
Still up 3-2 let’s get out of this.
Cmon Fam, get out of this
Cmon Fam, get out of this
I don’t think he intended to double switch but Ramos and Blevins couldn’t get it done
And can Familia ever get the first guy out in an inning? Seriously, I'd like to see that sometime. FFS this team.
Keep trotting Bruce out there with Nimmo and Lagares on the bench Mickey. It’s clearly working.
Good Job Toddfather.
Oh and if Jeurys walks in the winning run I'll live with it.
Not like he was hit hard. Defense let him down. Was a joke that hit wasn’t held to a single.

Oh yeah and Freeman was 9 for 18 against Blevins for a reason.
it was hit hard but that needs to be a double play.
Gary said it right off the bat...and camargo hits a double play ball...that gets by cabrera
Cabrera has been a beast offensively but his range at 2nd is non existent...matter of fact Cabrera, Gonzalez, and Bruce might make up the least athletic group of fielders on the right side ever. They cost us some many hits because there lack of range...

you have to know that Enciarte burns this team every time. Walk that fuck and setup the Double Play!!!

They need a lefty in this pen. If he isn't coming in walking Harper, he's getting pounded by Freeman. So what good as he?
I don't fault him for starting the 8th with Ramos, but at some point someone has to take the blame for the entire BP walking runners in front of the best hitters the opposing team has. It's the height of insanity with multi-run leads. MAKE THEM AT LEAST HIT THE BALL.
I know he hasn't had that many bad deals, but Ramos has to be Sandy's worst trade ever. Reed would have been cheaper to sign back, didn't cost a top 10 prospect, and was proven in the 8th inning role. I didn't watch Ramos a ton in Miami but I know the walk issues aren't a new thing.

The Swarzak oblique really cost us. We need him back. And honestly, I'd like to see more Gershon Bautista back rather than these knuckleheads.
One of the most inexplicable triples I've seen.. ever. And I've been watching baseball for a fair amount of time now.
I think Mickey is riding Familia a little too much in the early going. He's on pace for like 100 innings, which would be like 20+ more than he's ever pitched before.
He's already lead all of baseball in games finished in 2015 and 2016 - he's leading the league again now.
So, this guy is being ridden harder than pretty much any other closer in the league.
Not hindsight - but I actually thought the right move last night would have been to use Familia to get that final out in the 8th - which Mickey did - but then I would have used Sewald in the 9th.
I know people feel uneasy when Familia is in the game because he can lose the strike zone a bit and has a knack for making things interesting. But the guy has a 1.50 ERA right now. 2.40 FIP and an 11.3 k/9. He's still been really good despite the mishaps.
I just think we need to be a little more flexible and make sure we keep him fresh.
How many closers would you take over him right now?
Wade Davis is the only guy with more saves in the early going this year. I know that doesn't mean everything - but pretty much every closer in this league blows saves.
Kenley Jansen has two blown saves and a 7.50 ERA. Would you rather have him?
