The prom picture I posted was obviously intended to be a joke. My Daughter has dated her boyfriend for over a year and they knew I was joking.
I take gun safety seriously (the gun was not loaded and had no clip in) and I did not intend to be insensitive to that important issue
Woman drops her gun and kills her 2 year old daughter with a bullet to the chest. She was probably just goofing around with her four children in a hotel room, so don't make a big deal about it.
Guns are not a joke and a responsible gun owner would never brandish one without a real reason. Look at the number of Americans accidentally killed by guns every year. Casually waving a gun around is never a smart idea.

LOL..
Definitely portrays a lack of common sense and taste. That includes the gun and the belt. Wouldn't be surprised of there were white shoes as well.
It doesnt bother me. It was posted so Ill give feedback.
With the amount of angst against gun ownership, its probably a good idea to not only be responsible with owning a gun but also make it seem like you are responsible.
Feely is a complete moron here. Hopefully it wasnt loaded but way to bring a bunch of animosity towards your family for some instagram likes, Jay.
I think it's hilarious. I wish he would have doubled down instead of apologizing.
If people get offended about what a retired nfl kicker is posting , so be it. If it's not him it will be another harmless act that triggers another person looking for a forum.
Just looks like an obvious joke (albeit stupid). I can't imagine this being something worth getting bent out of shape over.
Not even anyone here in particular - just looking at the headline. This really caused an "uproar" ?
Seems like a silly thing to be up in arms over. But that's me.
Have you not gone outside in a couple years? getting outraged over the stupidest shit seems to be the latest craze

At what point did we as a society decide we have the right
to go through our lives and never be offended? It's irrational and pretty self centered to believe that every person in the world should be sensitive to the experiences, wants, needs, desires, and triggers of every other person in the world. Do people have the right to complain? Of course. But I don't see the point of it all. We've gotten to the point where people are demonized for the most innocuous, unintentional "offenses" and perceived insults. It's moralizing and grandstanding. "My views are enlightened and right, your views are mean and wrong". Are there things in life, personal views and ideas that bother me? Absolutely. But people have a right to live their lives, so long as they're not intentionally demeaning and hurting others, and I'm not going to waste my time bitching at those people in a sad, vain attempt to prop myself up as being morally superior. People need to get over themselves.

To me its not even the getting mad or complaining I get mad at some things and laugh at others. Its the ones stomping their feet creating a huge uproar until everyone agrees with them like a spoiled 16 year old girl ( yes dont care if that offends anyone). And it gets worse and worse with every generation
Im not mad or offended. I saw it before checking BBI and didnt think anything of it more than that hes an idiot. Then it was posted here, and gave the same feedback. Very poor decision just to get some likes.
not a big deal at all and actually its funny. That said thats why I don't post anything cuz any mofo with a stick up their bunghole can take any picture you post, no matter how insignificant, and tear it apart.
and I've lost track of how many stupid sitcoms dad's have made similar jokes with their daughter's prom dates. I'm more bothered by that belt others pointed out.

Everybody is sensitive, unless it follows your agenda like what Kathy Griffith did..then "it's a joke...get some humor".
And by "dumb" I think you guys are assuming that Jay Feely didn't know or actually cared that a bunch sensitive weenies were going to be outraged by a picture taken clearly in jest on his Instagram.

You also earned a timeout for telling people on here to kill themselves, didn't you? I'm sure think it's a real hoot.
Oh, just a joke as a prom send-off.
Really?
