Jim Mora touts Josh Rosen as potential Hall of Famer

GFAN52 : 4/22/2018 6:25 pm
Quote:
“Those that question [Rosen] and his toughs, competitiveness and love of the game are so far off anything I’ve seen in 6+ years knowing this man,” Mora said on Twitter. “He’s the real deal, he has it all, he will be a great one, he will win championships. . . . I’ve had the amazing fortune of being around 24 members of the Pro Football HOF, I believe we may see Josh Rosen enshrined one day. A lot of work to do, a lot of games/championships to win, but he has the qualities to do it.”

It's amazing how many guys from this draft..

are already a shoe-in for the HOF. Not sure why they would bother to suit up in September. Just go right to the HOF vote and put them in this summer.

Lol so maybe a bit more behind that comment he made a few weeks ago. Just saying if you're THAT good and a shoe in for the Hall, would scheme fit really matter? Wouldn't you adjust around a guy of that caliber anyway?

Maybe that has something to do with the rumor that Rosen doesn't want to play for the Browns.

I didn’t read the link and interpreted Mora as Mora Sr. So, my daddy comment was incorrect. I think we can all agree it was a shitty thread title. Amiright?

But I heard from both of my usual sources that those in the know don't expect Rosen to go in the top 10 and that there is a real possibility that he has the Rodgers drop and lasts to the Pats at 23.

Don't shoot the messenger (as I put on my bulletproof vest).

I was shocked when I heard this. Personally I'm not a Rosen fan at 2 but he is still a real good QB prospect.

Then I started thinking about it and it does make some sense. Hypothetically if the Giants aren't going QB then it starts a ripple effect. Allen to Browns, Darnold to Jets and Mayfield to Broncos or some permutation of those 3. Who else in the top 10 is going QB?

Definitely possible but Pats at 23? There’s plenty of teams in the market for a QB after the Broncos. Everyone knows the Bills want a QB and I don’t see how he could fall past both Bills picks let alone the other teams looking at QB.

I agree with you. But you are really relying on 3 teams willing to hitch their wagons to the guy to avoid him getting to 23. Bills, Cardinals and Chargers. What if just none of those three teams like the player for whatever reason?

TMS has a good point. Rosen has an injury history, only played one full season out of 3 years of college football. Do you think he will become Superman in the NFL and never get injured. Guys are stronger and faster in the NFL, some players just can’t stay healthy. He takes bad hits, cant do that in the NFL.

In the NFL so I don't see why Rosen wont have a 10 year plus career.. This guy has underrated toughness and movement skills in the pocket, I'm curious as to why these same concerns aren't voiced about Allan and Mayfield who have also had injuries in college
.
arcarsenal : 4/22/2018 11:23 pm : link
If Rosen drops all the way to 23, a lot of execs must have been getting loaded in the war rooms.

Injury concerns or not, this is the best passer in this class.

The Browns are going to take a QB - whether it's 1 or 4, I don't know.. but they're taking a QB.

The Giants may...I'd say there's at least a 50% chance.

The Jets almost certainly will.

Denver might (they should)

Buffalo absolutely will.

Arizona needs to.

All of these teams pick before NE. None of them are going to take Rosen? I don't buy it.

Better passer than Allen and Darnold. Better than Mayfield too if you ask me.

If Rosen drops into the 20's, there must be some serious concern over the heath of this player because if you remove that from the equation, he's the best passer in this class.

The injury concerns are valid, but the conclusion is extreme and unlikely. Bradford is the most apt comparison even with the most pessimistic view of Rosen and Bradford has played well past his rookie deal despite several serious injuries.

Except only one side of the debate is so immature and entrenched in their opinion that they openly wish for people they disagree with to say something political so they'll get banned. Or demand that people go on record with whether or not they want a QB to be drafted, then accuse those who are in favor of drafting a QB of hating Eli in the process.
