...over the past 90 days, I just gotta say I've been surprised how very few of them had the Giants going offensive line at least twice within the first three rounds.
In fact, I'm not sure I can recall any going that way. (Maybe one or two?) Usually, I see a CB, DL, LB or RB, but hardly ever two offensive lineman!
Nothing really works with a football team without a decent O-line. This unit sets the tone for the entire team... both sides of the ball.
We need at bare minimum two additional quality starters who are not currently part of our O-line unit.
At least two.
If we go Qb or DE at 1 then rb and oline in rd 2-3
IF we go RB in rd 1 then Oline in rd 2
If we go Oline in rd 1 then another oline in rd 3 if he is BPA
Will be easier to do if we trade back for more picks, but either way, this simply has to be a top objective this year
Mike in Ohio... interested in how you would plan to fix one of the worst NFL O-lines over the past 5 years, which -- coincidence or not -- happens to be part of one of the worst NFL teams over the past 5 years.
We should take a QB with 1st pick. Then 2nd pick an OL but in 3rd round the projectd / possible starters for OL will be gone.
After taking a QB and OL in 1st two rounds- we need the following by priority:
1-- ANother starting DL. We only have 2 capable starters on the DL front which are Tomlinson and Snacks. We need a 3rd.
2-- A CB protecting Eli Apple failure.
3-- A good running back.
4-- We could use a Safety
Ereck Flowers.......
carry on

when you are surprised that most people don't agree with your approach. Most times that isn't an indication that everyone else is a clueless.

Well, I'm sure cluster drafting OL and immediately putting them in the starting line up will only yield positive results.
Eat your heart out Jack Handy.
You hit the nail on the head. One of the worst TEAMS in the league. The Oline is a problem, as is having an aging QB, and only one offensive weapon that worries anyone.
We spent two first round picks on the Oline the past few years. One of them is now gone, another should be. Maybe consider just drafting nothing but Oline until you have a star studded unit isn't the only way to build a team?
