does nothing for us. If he was a known leader or locker room guy id be fine with it but last thing we jeed is another guy pressuring our QBs for the ball
in the locker room. I would love to have someone with his talent and size opposite OBJ. Dez is an asshole and pretty much the reason he isn't a Cowboy anymore, well that and his inability to separate.
and he's a bit of a pain in the ass. The pain in the ass stuff doesn't bother me that much and it probably doesn't bother NFL teams unless the player isn't great.
People that want Dez here haven't watched the guy play the last years. He's a JAG now and it's as clear as day. Now, could we use a bigger outside JAG type that can at least play at a respectable level here? Sure...but why not try and find a cheaper alternative than Dez? Plus, it's fair to speculate that Dez will be yet another step closer to the glue factory in 2018. Don't tell me "he's going to be motivated to stick it to Dallas"--that's a load of crap.
1 year deal for cheap (Marshall money) and I'm down.
Otherwise , pass.
What do you mean so damn hungry? Wasn't MArshall hungry? What about Cruz in 2016? Or Herman Moore in 2005?
Hungry my ass. Is the guy any good? That's the question! You don't win one on one battles against pro bowl CBs by being hungry. You win with chops and talent.
in the NFL in TD catches the past two seasons, I'm not convinced his issues were as much separation as they were a combination of things.
He's clearly not going to be 2012 - 2014 Dez, but he could easily fill the role that was supposed to be filled by Marshall.
If he is affordable.
I wouldn't break the bank for him, and would love something incentive based, but I think he still has value left and it has zero to do with being motivated to play Dallas.

Well said. It will be fascinating to see what he gets paid - clearly diminished skillset, but still a brand name and a lot of teams out there need help at WR. Carolina would be a nice fit. Chicago might be too, unless they think he'll wreck Trubinsky's development with all the sideline whining.
I do wonder if the foot is now fully healed... and if it can ever fully heal? If he's healthy... he's probably worth a 1 year flier, but I'm not a Dr nor do i have access to his medicals so what do i know.
I do know the Ravens, a desperate for WR talent franchise, has already passed.
But could never deny his on field Steve Smith like desire, heart and will for the ball. Still wake up in cold sweat thinking of his barely non endzone TD last second game winning catch against our cover 4.
the locker room / personality types we want to move away from. Especially a one with declining talent in which a WR needy team threw away for nothing. Don't get sucked in by the "playing Dallas twice a year" stick it to em talk. It's two games that don't need any more hyping up than they already have.
We don't need the headache. Plus, if we do get Barkley, him Odell and Engram is plenty and would rather concentrate on the OL and D depth.
He's a better football player, even in his diminished state, than the other WRs currently on the roster who'd play opposite from Beckham. We have too many other needs to spend a high draft pick on a WR this year.
I don't want Dez. His BS will be a big distraction. It's not an "if", it's a when with this guy. He is not worth the trouble. His motivation to stick it to JJ is not going to sustain him in December if we're not in the playoff hunt.
I really like the guys we have on the roster. We've got some decent prospects to sift through. Lattimer, Powe, Bundy, K.Johnson are all big, tall & rangy. I'm anxious to see if Lewis & Randolph improve with this staff.
Many here will refute this idea, but Marshall could be back later. Just because he couldn't pass a physical in April doesn't mean that he can't pass one in May. June, or even July. He could be back, where he has been, signing a reduced rate contract and then working out with the Giants in order to be in a position to possibly earn a roster spot and/or a starting job opposite OBJ.

That it must have killed Dallas to have to get rid of him, and probably would have taken a pretty legitimate reason for them to do so. As in him being damaged goods and/or completely in decline. It's not like they have a whole lot at WR without him.
He's also a headache and a circus act on the sideline.
I kind of like the idea of him spiking the ball in the end zone of jerryworld. But I don't see the Giants bringing him on. Got to be better than the guys that were trotting on the field at the end of last season.
and extrapolates that Randolph is my savior as the #2 guy....
Go get plooked, plooker
I'm not sure what this means, but I replied to your post because I don't know who Randolph is, but I also haven't been as up to date with all the free agent moves, etc.

That’s a fair take. I don’t think he’s completely cooked but i don’t know if he’s worth much anymore either. Maybe dak isn’t as good at throwing guys open like romo was? Could be...
I’d get on board but on the surface wonder if he’s really any good anymore. Jackrabbit made him look pretty bad two years ago/
If he really wants to play the Cowboys twice a year he'll come for a reduced price.
Unless the Giants really plan on blowing it up, like to the ground, they will not compete in 2018 with that depth chart.

You need an OL to function in the NFL.
Get the OL fixed, this set of receivers will get open.
I think some people forget the effect of Ingram on the offense, year two. Especially with Shurmur's offense.
Is that alone worth anything? Hell if I know.
We don't need the headache. Plus, if we do get Barkley, him Odell and Engram is plenty and would rather concentrate on the OL and D depth.
This is pretty much how I feel.
I might even be able to turn him into a Safety and then trade him for picks.

Randolph?
Giants have a pretty massive hole at #2 WR.
.
I guess somebody is cranky and ready for the draft to come.

No thanks.

Travis Randolph.

Clearly something I should have known.

Next time don't extrapolate, plooker (?)
