to me personally, no to Giants fans no, but in this context , Yes. I love Eli, but if you could seriously go back to draft day 2004, you're not taking Rivers?
Cleveland takes QB he is sitting at least one year... Giants take a QB and they are sitting at least one year. Then of the 4 QBs that will be taken they have to beat out the best QBs in the league to make the pro bowl or you call them a bust. If that is the case I will say at least 4 being all the QBs will be considered busts to you.
Even if you did think Rivers was the better player, why would the guarantee he same success Eli had? It’s quite possible we’d have 0 trophies with Rivers, certainly more likely than 2 or more.
The thread is NOT about Eli....just change the definition of BUST to whatever your personal interpretation of what a bust is......forgive my tragic transgression here....

No chance. You’re saying knowing what we know now. I’ll take the two trophies in hand. There is no guarantee Rivers would have won a Super Bowl with the Giants. Plus, not sure he would have succeeded in the big city. Eli all the way.
I think it's pretty clear from Ernie's book and subsequent comments Â
I don’t count the pro bowl as any yardstick for the quality of a player. There are too many no shows and too many pity picks. The pro bowl is an exhibition game wrapped around a free trip to Hawaii...

I just lurk here but this has to be the dumbest goddamn thing I've ever seen posted on this board by a non-troll

Im not sure what the point is. Basically every draft has been 3-4 players bust in top 6.

I think a bust taken in the first six picks is somebody who is not a full time starter by his third year.

Well ... technically we did take Rivers.
