Highly recommend the new album for any A Perfect Circle fans out there. The album cover is creepy as hell, but the music is excellent. Worth the 14 year wait in my opinion.
Loved Mer de Noms back when it was released - I was a big Tool fan when I was younger.
I didn't find myself as into Thirteenth Step and my friends who have listened to this record don't think I'll like it, but I'm going to check it out soon and see for myself.
I've heard mixed reviews. Some people love it, some hate it. I'm intrigued, though.

It’s a little different, a lot of strings and less hardcore than previous works. It’s one of those albums that kind of grows on you. The song “Delicious” drags a bit the first few minutes, but the last minute and a half is awesome.
We love all things Keenan and my wife and I love the new album Â
My biggest issue with the record was the same thing I said about The Doomed when it came out. The verses seem to get to a crescendo and then BRRRRRRRTTT! Quiet, meandering chorus and/or bridge. Disillusioned did the same thing, and that could have been a really good APC song. I'm not saying everything's got to be verse/chorus/verse, but that was APC's vibe for a while. It was more of a straight-ahead rock band than latter-day Tool and certainly Puscifer (and I rather like Puscifer, but that's its own thing). It feels like Billy's gotten away from what he was good at, and it's not really working for me. I want to like it more.
That said, I saw them live last November and thought they were fantastic.
Excited for new tool too.

I read an article about his winery in Arizona. My wife and I just got back from Napa so we are in wine mode now. Have to check it out at some point.
